    Default bone spurs and extra bones, pain in feet...

    I suffer from plantar fasciitis which has caused some serious bone spurs on both of my heels. Over the past year or so I have actually found it difficult to walk. I am only 37. I know that if I will buckle down and commit to this lifestyle that the weight will come off and relieve some of the problem that my being overweight causes, but has anyone suffered from bone spurs and had complete relief of pain? I have them in my heels, on the tops of my feet, as well as near my achilles tendons. I also have accessory cessamoid bones under my second and third toes on both feet at the balls of my feet which are basically "extra" bones that serve no purpose. They are marble-shaped (so basically marbles!) that normally appear 10% of the population on non weightbearing surfaces of the foot such as near the ankle bone. Mine unfortunately are on weightbearing surfaces. Any ideas? Stories of healing?

    I used to have bone spurs on my heels, but they disappeared several years ago! I do believe that nutrition helped! I sure don 't miss them but can't remember exactly what I did to get them to leave.

    I have been having foot pain for over a year. we were in the process of moving and other major life-events-so I put off going to the DR. I *knew* in my gut he was going to say surgery, so I was trying to wait till a more convient time. My foot was so painful that sometimes the sheet touching it hurt! Now 3 weeks raw and 90% of the pain is GONE!

    A friend of mine had heel spurs and the only thing that got rid of them was soaking his heels in colloidal minerals every day for a couple of weeks. Previously, he used heel pads and had painful steroid injections in his heel, but nothing helped.

    I have osteoarthritis, and the raw lifestyle has definitely helped me. I also supplement w MSM and always wear a good pair of running shoes. Aches start coming back, and I know it is time for a new pair ~ Cathy

    I have just read something about using MSM, garlic and high mineral foods to help dissolve calcium deposits. The msm and garlic provide sulfur that supposedly dissolves the deposits and the high minerals keep them from coming back. I think you can do garlic supplements without the smell. Green juice and seaweeds provide minerals.

    my dad has horrendous bone spurs and hes in constant pain allll the time, and they cant do surgery as theyre near his spine and its too risky. that would be so amazing if there was something that could help him.

    although he is the most SAD eater ever. i honestly dont think hed ever switch over, ever, to even WATCHING what he ate, let alone going raw vegan! hed rather take horrible combinations of overloads of meds, constantly. it is so sad.

    I'd had plantar fasciitis in my right foot for 2.5 years and went through many phases of limping, with lots of swelling at the end of the day, achiness, the whole thing. I was starting to believe it would never go away! And I'd been wearing tennis shoes for a year, as well, because of the cush and support. But about 5 weeks into high raw, the pain is GONE! I am amazed...

    Now about this skin thing...

    No bone spurs, just plantar fasciitis in left heel for over a year. I have had two cortisone injections each lasting 6-8 weeks before pain returned. I wear only flat, supportive athletic shoes with custom made orthotics. I stretch and strengthen several times a day and take anti-inflammatory medication (Aleve or Motrin) daily. I hot soak it, I ice it. I do anything and everything imagineable to heal it. Right now, the only thing that is providing me any relief is to have my DH tape up my arch every day with athletic tape before I get dressed in the morning. I still do all that other stuff too but this is helping a bit more than all the other stuff alone. I do not want surgery.

    I hope you find your answer.
