Default Setting up Raw Class - PLEASE HELP

    Hi,

I have been reading some post about the Raw Food Certifications and in one of the post Rawinlocs suggested that you setup a class so that when you come back from training you'll be ready to get started. I would like to do this but would anyone who is currently a Teacher mind giving me some advice about setting one up via email? If so my email is tanisha [@] kandisign.com

Just remove the brackets and you have my email.

I want to set one up so that when I come back I'll start teaching right away.

I'm going to the Nov 1-5 class.

I just have a few questions, if anyone should be willing please post to let me you to expect an email from you or could you post your email? I can't decide whether I should setup a food demo or just start with the Raw Cert Class, just wondering which one is better to start with. I know it will be my business and my way but just curious how everyone went about setting up there first class.

My first class was a "Dessert Tasting"...it was actually free of charge and I just made up a bunch of various raw desserts and had them sample them and then I demo'd two recipes - the date nut torte and banana ice cream.

At said demo, I had hand-outs with my class info on them and I did get 2 people to sign up for my Level One classes (one signed up a little later on, but signed up nonetheless).

Best thing to do is to work with what you already have...start making food for friends and family, co-workers, etc. and letting them taste the food. Then you can start telling them that you are getting ready to become certified to teach food prep classes and perhaps you'll peek their interest enough to attend.

Also, start making up your flyers and post them at local food co-ops, natural food stores, chiropractor's offices, colonic centers, yoga centers, etc. Talk to the owners...get to know them and tell them what you do. Offer free (or nominal-fee) demos so they can sample your food and (hopefully) ask you to do a full-fledge class.
