Default 118 Degrees (Costa Mesa, CA)

This great new raw restaurant opened up just a month or so ago. I am lucky to live near 2 very well know restaurants in Huntington BEach. Au-lac and Good Mood Food. Love them both, but now have a great new place within one block from work. It is a little more upscale in design with Chef Jenny at the helm. She had a few other places before in Laguna and she also packages her food to local health food places. The Lemon Pesto Pasta Salad is so deliciious as is her Topaz Pizza. Great service and good prices.

118 Degrees is probably my favorite raw restaurant so far. I liken it to Pure Food and Wine in NYC but at 1/3 of the cost!

I've been there a couple times now. I loved the seaweed salad, the Mexican salad, the tortilla soup and the trio of enchiladas. I also tried the sweet mustard salad which was terrible! Nor did I like the Lemon Pesto Pasta, but I still plan on dining there often!

    Default Thanks Revell

Hey Revell, found a prior review of 118. Thanks! Love listening to Rawkin Radio and although Alissa is off doing other things, it is still a great show and really like the mix of guests you interview. Keep it up!! Alissa, you rock as well. Got your book sometime back and the recipes really are great. It gives me much variety for a 100lb book! :)

    Happy New Year all!

Hi there, I'm new to the board and live in the OC. :) I love 118- its a great place! I've been there once and had the lasagna which was awesome. Now that I'm taking the raw path I have a feeling I will be eating a lot of my dinners there. I'll def check out the other local vegan haunts too.

I'll definitely check Au Lac out! I've been meaning to for awhile.

Is there is local raw group in OC? It would be neat to have a get together locally!
