    Default need your help!

    Hi guys!
ok, i need your help... who do you all think is the most changed and made the most dramtic improvements and/or should be given a prize for the most determined, improved, etc.... i need your votes... start listing names!

Also, those of you who have not started the raw challenge yet and put yuor pictures up... GET THEM UP THERE! for next month!

I already sent a pool floaty to kirk as he mentioned he thought it may be a good workout for him and wanted to give him a little present for being such a shining light on this board and having one of the best attitudes!

And thunderdancer got promoted to moderator for having the most posts and being so supportive and uplifting and inpiring and real and sharing that with us all.

So.... who gets the raw challenge prize????
Its too hard for me to decide, i wish i could give everyone here one!!

    Thanks!

    Alissa,

You make me blush. I want to thank you very much for the gift. I will get good use out of it.

I hesitate to give you only one name. So many are trying so hard, I'm gonna have to give you two names. Both Smasty and Kristi have shown remarkable progress and both are very helpful, understanding, and willing to show forth friendship (as do so many others on this board). It's really hard for me to choose, so many good people here.

Is there only one prize and one category? I think that there are so many people who shine in so many ways, it is hard to pinpoint just one quality and person deserving of a gift.

Some of us are really determined and focused, some are *flawless* in their devotion to Raw living, some give great advice and guidance and are a wealth of information, some contribute excellent recipes, some are creative and outgoing, some have lost lots of weight, some have resolved multiple health issues, some have an endless sun-shiny attitude, some are very honest and human about admitting slip ups...And all of these elements make this an amaing place!

I know that it is not financially practical to "reward" everyone with a material gift, so I'd like to see a thread where we are able to honor the progress we have all made in our own ways and where each contribution is given recognition! ;)

An of course, Alissa gets to be considered an enchanted "Raw Fairy" in my book for supporting us all by providing this forum for us to grow together.

Smasty and Kristi have done so very well. I just cant pick "A" winner.
And really the whole group is just so amazing I can see why you cant pick on on your own Alissa.

    Hi Alissa,

So far, I have received the most info and helpful advise from (in alphabetical order): Analeah, Concious Cusine, Kirk, Rawkinlocs. Hope this helps!

I do have to say that everyone is quite helpful and inspiring!

    Default Wow, this is tough!!!

Alissa, everyone has been such an inspiration! And so many have given of themselves to help the rest of us. I have so much gratitude to everyone here for all the knowledge I have gained - I would not even attempt to name someone who deserves to be rewarded. Um, that didn't help, did it...

    Love to all!

    HA!!!!!!
    no this was not helpful!!!
HA! i know, it is difficult to pick just one person!!!
Maybe i shouldnt make this a contest like this becouse there are so many people on here that deserve a 'prize'. I think EVERYONE on here does!
Ok, so this was no helpful guys, i thought i would get a list of names from everyone, but i understand your confusion!
Hmmm, ill have to think about this one...

I think that no one wants to name specific people because it may cause others to feel bad or left out. Perhaps if you had people send you the names of those they feel should be selected in a private message then they may be more inclined to give specific names as no one will know who "voted" for whom.

    Just a suggestion.

Also, does this forum program allow you to do polls? Perhaps enter in names of active members and then allow there to be a vote by poll so it's anonymous as well.

    Thanks Melissa!

Something else just came to me...okay, so the "contest" is for those who participate (or attempt to do so) in the 30-day challenge, correct?

If so, then why not do this, why not form a "committee" of sorts out of the individuals here who are already 100% raw and have been for a while. Then leave the "contest" or whatever it is that you call it to those of us who are making our way towards being 100%. THEN you can allow your committee and yourself to decide (based on posts and journals) who has made the most improvement in a given month's time, who has succeeded at meeting the challenge, blah blah blah

I think that the Mods are for the most part all raw or are they not? If so, then they can make up the committee who will "judge" or vote on who they feel is best suited on a month-to-month basis.

On a forum I'm on for the natural hair care of African-American women, each month there is a "Napptural of the Month" chosen and there is a group of us who helps the list owner decide and our deciding factors are how helpful they are on the board, how much they "fight" for the cause of black women accepting their natural hair and no longer using chemicals to straighten, etc. etc. It's a monthly thing that happens. Maybe you could incorporate something like that here. Maybe a "Rawie of the Month" or something in addition to the prize contest for the challenge. That way, at some point or another, everyone who actively partcipates will get some acknowledgement for all they do around here! I like what Conscious said too about the thread.

Hope this gives you some more ideas as to how you should go about this!
