    Wink Another Texan goin' raw!

I don't even know if I'm doing this post correctly or not but here I am hoping to connect with others embarking on this raw food path. I wish I could say that I willingly or voluntarily started this healthy journey but nothing could be further from the truth.
I have been searching for help to ease my intestinal "affliction" for years. I have tried EVERYTHING from doctors to diet without much success until now. At this point I am about 85% raw and for the first time in 15 years I feel fabulous. It has taken a long time to get here, first eliminating gluten and sugar. Things got better but still not good. I knew I would have to heal myself and I just kept researching and digging until I came across info about a raw food detox. It all made sense and I slowly began the transition.
It has been about 2 months now and for me it's a miracle. I no longer feel as if I'm struggling just to do the normal everyday things. I'm regaining energy and stamina. My body no longer feels as if it is being poisoned. I have hope and that in itself is Fabulous! I'm sold.

Well, the state has plenty of people. AND aren't we one of the top states with the most overweight people?

It't nice to see another Texan on RFT. I think I am the only one in my town eating raw food. Best of wishes on your journey

:) Thanks to everyone for the welcome. I feel better knowing I'm not the only one in Texas trying to pass on the BBQ and Mexican food! I sure miss it but I'm feeling so much better that I can't go back. The people I'm around don't understand this way of eating at all. They think that I've lost my mind and almost seem worried. My health is already so much improved and I think I will just let the results speak for themselves. I don't actually tell many people but some are already noticing a change in my physical appearance.

Thank y'all so much!!! If you can do it in Texas, you can do it anywhere.

Just the other day, my daughter said I had lost my mind. I told her it was okay. I would find it again sometime.
