    Default Hopeful Oldie!

Hi everyone from London, England. Started 100% raw today. I'm 70 years old. Fed up with a lifetime of junk food, obesity and various ailments. Feel very excited about a new beginning. Hope I haven't left it too late!

Hi Lachta... one nice thing about our bodies is that they're quite resilient and able to benefit (or suffer) from what we put in it at just about any age. Congrats on making the decision to be healthier and welcome!

I'm only six years younger than you are and it's working for me. Just think of it this way. If you don't go raw, how old will you be in a year?

Heaven's no, it's "not too late!" You might enjoy watching some videos on YouTube by Mimi Kirk! She was voted the Sexiest Vegetarian and she's 71 or 72! Here's a link to her YT channel:

Hi Lachta, Welcome! You are never too late, as long as there is life there is hope. Just keep on "keeping on". They say if you want to change your life its all about the books you read and the people you hang out with (you want to hang out with those that you want to be like). That's why forums and raw food web sites/blogs:). A good book to start with that helps you understand the benefits of the raw food lifestyle is "The Detox Miracle Sourcebook" by Robert Morse, N.D. (you can find on Amazon.com) When I need some inspiration to stay on track with my raw food diet, I go to You tube and punch in the "Life Regenerator", Dan McDonald. He's just pretty upbeat and not too "salesie". By the way, you don't look 70 by your picture! You just start eating that fresh raw living food and you will notice nothing but more youthful skin, coloring, energy...just to name a few! Just hang in there. The best is yet to come:)

My mom just turned 66 and she has also had a lifetime of junk food, obesity and ailments. I am trying to sway her towards raw! Good luck!
