    Default Juicer cleaning

This may be a daft question!..but I shall ask anyway, apologies if its been answered already.

Those of you who juice throughout the day, for all meals/snacks- do you clean your juicer every use. Fully take apart and wash up after each meal? or use it for say a few hours then clean?

I am perplexed as to which to do.. I have been cleaning it everygo but its getting very tiresome with juice feasting. As I can use it between 3 and 6 times a day..

Perhaps I am just lazy!.. I am stumped and tired of scrubbing.. so have had hand squeesed lemons for tea!

    Thanks in advance

I agree but I am afraid that if I do not clean it a fruitfly may get in and lay so I clean it.

This process would depend on the type of juicer but if you've got a Samson, Green Star or something of that nature, run some hot water with white cider through it after you're done and run hot water through it before juicing. No guarantees about the fruit flies though.

    Thanks for that..

Now I think of it..its a Breville Pro, so pretty much completly sealed. I can always run hot water through it to be double sure.

    TY!

I always clean mine out every time I use it. It is easier that way. If I leave it there is a chance for food to get stuck in there and then it is harder to clean. I just find it easier that way.

I'm juice feasting too. But I clean it after every use. If I am feeling super lazy or am just in a hurry, I rinse the parts and put them in a big bowl of water to soak until I get back.

    Default How about this?

If you're using it all day long, how about just running some clean water through it between uses? Then cover it with a dishcloth or towel.

I would be sure to wash it good at least once a day...

I had a friend who owned and opperated a juice bar in the town I live in and he would run his juicers all day long and never stop to clean them. His juicers might sit there for awhile during a slow period but when a customer ordered a juice he would push the produce through the juicer and I never heard of any problems with his methods or with the health officials who inspected him.

I have a Jack Lalaine Elite juicer and it is a pain to clean. I juice when I have dishes to do and drink the juice often while I am doing my dishes and just clean the jucier along with my other dishes. I usually do dishes twice a day. Not a great plan but it works for me.
