Default Anyone been to Cafe Gratitude in Berkeley?

I was in Berkeley a couple of months ago and tried to find Cafe Gratitude. I called 411 to get the phone number or address and they told me there was no such listing. Sure enough, when I tried to find it in the phone book there was no listing. I've heard wonderful things about it, have the cookbook and would really like to go there next time I'm in Berkeley (about 2 weeks from now). Can anyone tell me where it is? Thanks.

I am surprised there are not more posts regarding this restaurant. It is fantastic and I would reccomend to anyone who dwells in the S.F. Bay Area, or someone simply visiting.

    Default Tomorrow!

I will be going to Cafe Gratitude TOMORROW(Monday)! YEAH!
I'm taking my fiance with me. He agreed to try it and not make any sarcastic comments along the way.

We went there when we were visiting my brothers there in December (I'm from Berkeley originally, so it was a big fat treat to go there! It was sooo fabulous. I ate like a pig, just wanting to try out so many different things that I don't usually make. The desserts, as you might guess, are divne! A good conversion thing happened there as well. I vowed to quit using paper napkins.
Go hungry, order it all! It's just a great place.

I haven't been to the Berkeley location, but I lived at the 9th & Irving location in San Francisco. I went at least 2-3 times per week when I first went Raw. The first time I walked in the door it was after a long master cleanse and that food tasted like heaven's kitchen doors had opened up and it then fell directly into my mouth. Pure bliss.

Cafe Gratitude is awesome! Seriously, go REALLY hungry or be disappointed that you can't eat as much as you want to!
They have their menu posted on their website. I've only been to one location, in SF, but I believe the food is mostly made in a central location and then trucked to the different restaurants.
Pick up their book while you are there. They also carry a lot of specialty items you would need for the recipes, like Irish Moss.
Let me just say, their Raw "almond joy" treats are TOTALLY AWESOME!!!!
The only drawback is that some of the food is really spicy and intense. It is good to go with friends and each get something different so you can try a lot and aren't stuck with just one thing.
Have fun!! Can't wait til my next trip there :)
