    Default dry brushing skin question

can someone explain the method? are you supposed to go in a certain order or just brush your skin any-which-way? Also, before shower, after, is a certain time better than another? I just bought a brush to my skin and I'm not sure how to do it:)
    Thanks!

The best is to brush upwards toward your heart .. so if you start at your feet do several strokes up each section of your leg up towards your heart. Once in your midsection do the same thing .. smooth strokes upwards. Arms would be from hands to your heart.

A natural fiber brush is best, like those from Yerba Prima. I prefer to brush dry so that my brush lasts longer, some like to do it wet. Either is fine.

I read also that it helps to brush in small circles, and to do it before you shower. I used to dry-skin brush after my shower and I think it's more effective since I started doing it before. Just MO.

Brushing in small circles is fine but best used on areas with cellulite rather than the entire body.

Brushing upwards aids the lymphatic system and helps to keep it flowing.

hmmm. I don't think I'll be able to do this. I have very sensitive dry skin.

    - There are different types of natural bristle from harsh to soft. Grant it,men's skin, is much rougher than most of you ladies
So it doesn't bother me as it would you. And plus I usually don't have the time to do it as the link says to: 7 times here and 14 times and there and everywhere - Pffft.....a person would be in the bathroom all dAY!
just find a natural brush that is soft enough for your skin.
Go to your local HFS and do some testing.

I can't add much to what has already been said, except that I would not recommend brushing wet skin as it stretches the skin.

    Default dry brushing

After only brushing for 3 days I do not have the dry scaly skin after I shower and my skin is dry. Usually my skin would be white after I would shower and I would immediately have to put on lotion. I did however, put cocoa butter on my skin two days ago. This is from a person with really dry sensitive skin. I like dry brushing and definately would advise it.
