    Default Dogs eating Durian

I bought some durian today in the frozen foods section at the Asian market.
Pods were sealed inside of a plastic box and sealed in more plastic but you could STILL smell the durian.

So I took some out and the dogs were loving it! here are pics of our two collies eating some. Our sheltie wasn't as enthusiastic.

This is Laddie. He's about 9 or 10.

This is Shannon. SHe's about 5. They're both from the Houston Collie Rescue.

Travel and food writer Richard Sterling says about Durian "... its odor is best described as pig-s__t, turpentine and onions, garnished with a gym sock." Well, considering dogs greet each other by sniffing the back end, this makes sense that it would be so tasty to them! With that being said, I STILL consider dogs to be higher life forms than humans - they are pure love and smart little angels to boot! LOVED the pics of your pooches, SO CUTE! ;)

Oh my gosh I am laughing so hard. Family asked what was so funny. haha Thanks for a good laugh today. Yes, they sniff each other's behinds and eat dead things. Not the best advertisement for durian. My poor hubby keeps saying, "I can't get away from that smell!" I am going to have to go to my secret hiding place to eat it next time...IN STAR'S LIVING ROOM!

OMG. You all crack me up... LOVE the photos, love the banter. Afraid to try the durian. Maybe if it was deep fried ~ I'd eat the couch deep fried. Take care all
