I've done one through meetup.com but we can just do an RFT one instead of paying meetup. :) There are more around here. I KNOW it!!!

Yuh. When I did it, it was $20 or so if only doing it once. If one wants to do it more than once, it's less. There are a LOT of people in this area who are raw and not on this board. I had about 15 or 18 people show up ~ at varying levels of rawness.
You don't have to pay to join, just if you want to be a co-ordinator.

It was good. I had everyone bring a dish and the recipe to go with it. Some of the newer folk emailed and said they didn't know what to bring so I gave them some ideas. Only one brought something that wasn't raw... she didn't have a clue. Thought a salad (head lettuce) with mayo was a good choice. We got some really good food; some, not-so-good and met some very nice people.
