No, Nini.. no card for your wallett.( except from AARP.. he he) ( and you have a couple years until you can be a card-carrying member there !)

but how about a GREEN STAR
( you know, like for one who likes Green smoothies and who is an 'over 50' person..)

    here is a green star..

I think , speaking about STARS, that
'Starsky' deserves a star for getting us this seperate section at the forum.

    this is for you,
    Styersky,
actually, it is a gold star..with a hug attached.

We all need to thank Alissa. Thursday I contacted her with the suggestion that we have our own Forum, at the suggestion of Rawlinlocs.

And thank all of you who made so many "replies" to our old Over 50 thread indicating to Alissa our interest in RAW.

Lets all get busy establishing threads here in our very own Forum! Let's make it worthwhile for Alissa and everyone over 50!

i hope you received your gold star with a hug.!!( you need to go back and read the last post in the thread)

and Thank you to Alissa and Rawkinliocs also..and everyone who made us a seperate place to 'chew the fat'..( bad analogy.. sorry !)

Thank you for the gold star and the hug . . . but it is all to the credit of all that made our Over 50 thread so successful, not me. It was time to do something with our thread because of the number of pages, and all of you did that. THANKS!

    Luckitri, you are welcome.

Actually you need to thank Rawlinloc and Alissa. I first went to Rawlinloc about a new "thread" and she suggested that Alissa might want to give us our FORUM. I contacted Alissa and she was most happy to do this for us. And I am sure she would appreciate a thank you from all of us.

    Default Newbie over 50

I like the idea of an over 50 forum . First of all, I am a very fresh newbie, day #3 after a week the end of July. I am totally committed to being 100% raw and I am not committing to just 30 days but through 2007. I am convinced I will continue so I am not looking at this as a trial.
I have spent the last 20 years being a compulsive eater ( not the other kind- "normal") and I want to be free....free of that hanging over my head which should also eliminate my bouts with depression.
I know I am the only one to fulfill this desire by making the choice and I reach out for support via this site as I am usually a do it all alone type..
I am so grateful to Allissa for her enthusiasm and drive to reach so many .

I am relatively new also . . . since July 24. The change in depression is one of the biggest changes I have experienced.

If you stay with us in this Forum we believe we can be an encouragement to you and you to us! Thanks for being here.

I am also a newbie - day #3 at 100%. Have been high raw for the last couple years but tired of the yo-yo-ing back and forth between feeling really well and feeling like heck when detoxing restaurant meals etc. One day at a time and lots of mutual encouragement, right? :-))

    Default Depression

Just joined the over 50s group and noticed that raw food may help with depression and as I get a SAD effect in the winter as I live in Alberta Canada I am interested to hear any good news about depression and raw foods.

    Thanks

    Pam
