Default my kids love blended green drinks

right now a big fist full of spinach in just about any blended fruit drink with lots of ice has them asking for more. I think it's the spinach that has turned me green and the way it makes me feel has me grinning from ear to ear.

My kids also love green smoothies. I mostly mix up orange juice, with spinach. Sometimes I will add some cilantro for a twist.

Spinach blends easily in the blender, but if you decide on swiss chard or kale or any other heavier green, try juicing the greens first, and then blend in the dark green juice to a yummy fruity concoction in the blender.

We usually do juice over here but now thanks to the ideas in this post I think i'll try some blended drinks! So do I just throw a couple peeled oranges in my blender with a handfull of leaves, blend & drink?

It's what we do. Usually we make some oj, throw in a 'nana or two, some strawberries and about 3 kale leaves and blend. Might do it with apples/pears, just chopped, throw in some leaves, blend. Done it with some pineapple juice and coconut also.

Parsley is my green of choice...blend with a banana and a pear or apple (and a dash of flaxseed oil). My 2.y.o. daughter is fine with them, but my 3.y.o son won't touch it...hmmm...is that just a 3.y.o. thing? or is it that the transition came when he was that much older & able to resist?? I'm just assuming that as my daugther & I drink them down, he'll come round when he's ready.

Also strawberries, banana, parsley with a dash of mint...yummm!
