    Default Sun Spots

    hi All-

    How does one get rid of them?:)
    2 new sunpots pooped up this weekend on my nose:)

    I know lemon juice is supposed to reduce freckles and I was told excessive freckles are mostly cause by over sun exposure.. so that would make them sun spots no? LOL.. worth a shot!

    are they white sun spots? If so, they might be due to a yeast fungus. I have them on my chest, shoulders and back. It is called tinea versicolor.

    If so, the only way to get rid of them is to treat with anti-fungal like tea tree but since they are white, you will have to wait until your tan fades and they blend in with your skin and than retan yourself to see whether or not they are gone.

    Are these tiny lighter beige than your skin spots? I have had those all over my arms. You can't see unless you look close though. My dad has them on his skin as well and we have the same skin-type. Ya know, the white kind with pink undertones instead of olive undertones.

    You mean, are my spots a light beige color?

    Well, mine are white - what they are are areas of skin (in spots or small patches) that don't tan because of the fungus so the spots are whatever your natural skin color is. Thus you end up with unevenly tanned skin. How bad you have it depends on how much fungus in on your skin - it may even be related to a yeast imbalance in your body.

    My natural skin color is very pale (has more of a blue undertone) and I got really tan (for me anyway) on my arms,chest, shoulders and back. I don't really have them on my arms but mostly on my chest shoulder and back.

    Some of them are like polka dot size and some are patchy.

    Mine are pretty noticeable I think because of how white my normal skin color and how much tan I got this summer so far.

    Use sunblock to prevent them. I know of two ways through allopathic means: Renee Herzog makes a cream that uses hydrogen peroxide. Also from the derm you can get hydroquinone that bleaches them out. Hyrdroquinone is banned in Europe though. That said, I did use it for a while and had fantastic results with it - no brown spots or freckles left at all. Also, you can get photofacials at the derm that get rid of brown spots and redness. Or you could just learn to love them.
