    I had:
    Tacos of Life
Pine nut-chili and walnut puree, fresh salsa, guacamole in 2 romaine shells with Coconut Sour Cream and Jalapeno vinaigrette.
hubby had French coffee with agave and almond cream

    and we shared a:
    Fresh Fruit Tartlet
Macaroon crusted tartlet with a fresh berry puree and raspberry coulis.

How wonderful! I bet it was awesome too! What did your hubby think? I hope to go to one of those restaurants one day. Until then, I'll be making my own gourmet goodies.

Thanks for posting those yummy pics.

    Default Beautiful, Delicious Food

Thank you all for responding. The food was very good. Hubby likes my zucchini pasta better. I massage and strain the water out for him. He let me taste it and I like theirs better. It is thicker than any I've tasted and while retaining the fresh taste I like also kept it's water; there was no water on the plate. We both loved the sauce and croquettes.

The tacos would replace the sad version for anyone who doesn't particularly dislike lettuce or tomatoes. I like them both and the flavor and texture was very much TACO!!! That's saying a lot for me.

The chips were amazing. So much better than any corn chip you've ever tasted. They were the right thickness and crunch and the flavor of fresh sweet corn. Unbelievably good.

The desert was cookies that tasted like coconut and almond paste. The fruit was strawberries, raspberries (the first I've ever had - FL girl ya know) and blueberries. Hubby said we would definitely have to go back.

Lady Green Jeans, you are very welcome. You've been around long enough to know what it meant for me to finally get there.

belle and ChaiLife, believe me that I've felt that way myself. This place just opened within the past year. Before that I just kept reading and looking at pics here of places on the other side of the country. Hopefully a place will open near each of you soon.

I might add that a couple in the other corner were sharing a banana split when we left and they were obviously enjoying it very much. Hubby will probably try that next time.

I love the Present Moment Cafe. I was there back in February.

My bf got a burger thingy I think. I remember I got a strawberry drinkie and the nut loaf with the fettucine alfredo. And we got a couple desserts cobbler and the blueberry parfait. We got free cacao cake because it was someone birthday.

The tartlet pic is somewhat deceptive imho. The tray that it was on was as large as my keyboard. It was twice as long as the other dishes. So there was more there than it may look like in the pic. It was a pretty good size mound of fruit. And the cookies were really good.

    Everything was good!!

Hubby asked before ordering the meal if everything on the menu including all the ingredients were raw. She said they were. He didn't ask again after the meal about the coffee. Don't know what it actually was. Should have asked.

Whatever it was she poured hot water into the container with it and told hubby to let it sit, I believe a minute and a half, and then push the long rod thing down and he could pour a cup. It held two cups. He wanted me to taste it so I did. It was much, much, much milder than I remember regular coffee being. Not acid at all. It did have a good flavor.

I got some Ho Shou Wo while we were in St Augustine so now I can make a version of RawVeganMom's best coffee ever. Don't have the Yacon so I'm going to use a medjool date instead. The woman at the HFS said she had just ordered the raw cocao powder and it should be in Thursday.

I'm looking at those chips. I don't think I've seen raw tortilla chips look that appetizing! :) Thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

They are made of flax, almonds, corn (in that order), and spices ... the ones i remember are cumin and pink salt. I would say equal amounts of the first three and season as desired. They are very good.

Here is a close up. Looks like some red pepper as well.
