    Default Mung bean sprouting amazement!

I am truly amazed at how fast these things (mung beans) are growing!
I just started them yesterday and this morning there were little tales on them. I went home for lunch and some of them have tales that are two inches long. The tales are growing down into the holes and some of the hulls have come off. I think the instructions on the sproutpeople site say 4-5 days, but as fast as they're growing is that too long or is this normal?

With those tales sticking through the holes, how am I supposed to get them out of the sprouter without breaking them?

I never realized they grew that fast. I'm almost afraid to open my SproutMaster when I get home!

LOL Now that's what I call living food!!

When I sprouted mine I did lose some tails but didn't fret over it. There were so many in there that a few tails falling off was not a big deal.

Mine grew incredibly fast as well. To slow the guys down I put them in the fridge. I just wanted a few for my salads but they started to take over the world.

    Enjoy your sprouts. :)

I wanted to make the pad thai in a few days. I haven't even tasted the sprouts yet. I can probably take some for my lunch salad tomorrow. This is fun! THANKS!
