Default Children 10 & under DETOX symptoms

Has any mother here that had or have children that was 10 yrs or younger when introduced to raw foods---reason I ask is I have recruited 2 mothers into rawfood and I started wondering if DETOX symptoms were just as visible or noticed in the same ways as adults???

Congratulations on your efforts. Dextoxing can be hard. However, my prayer is that these mothers were feeding their children fairly well, so that their detox may be smooth. Generally, children do well, but just ask them to balance.

    Hi Linda,

I have 2 under the age of 10. My kids, pre-raw (pre-healthy eating, period) experienced skin irritations in the form of eczema.

My younger two have experienced detox in the form of skin rashes that came and then cleared up. Now, my 2-year old fortunately came along as we were transtioning to a healthier way of eating so he doesn't have a lot to detox FROM. But my 6-year old, she was more exposed to the SAD way of eating. I have never heard her complain of headaches or anything like that.

My older children, however, experienced detox headaches a few times, but other than that, nothing that I've been aware of. I believe that children probably won't experience it to the degree of adults who had YEARS to eat the SAD and accumulate whatever they might have accumulated in their bodies, especially if they're under the age of 10 and didn't have terribly bad diets (you know, maybe some junk-snacks here and there, but not a lot of garbage on an everyday basis).
    Detox getting rough?
    Let's "smooth it out"!

I wrote a macrobiotic thread about this -for people who are pregnant or special cercumstances (like children) that can help them transition with the healthiest cooked food plan available -its a good way to "lessen the blow" and get them used to the idea alot of ppl agree with it ,I think it should be mixed ,since children are a bit more delicate here is the link!

My children had headaches, low blood sugar symptoms, and the most interesting thing, I thought, was that four of them had candida patches for months. My theory is that the candida was in their body and the raw food diet was cleaning it out.
