    Default clearing up acne

Besides going raw, is there anything else you guys did/do to clear up your skin? Like take certain herbs/supplements, cleanse w/ certain things, masks, etc? Has anyone gone from bad acne to super good looking skin? My continual breakouts are frustrating me. I'm raw but I feel like its not working...

Not to be discouraging, but I've been at least 90% raw for a year now, and my acne hasn't really improved much. BUT I stopped cleaning my skin and using products, and it hasn't gotten WORSE...so I no-longer have a chemical dependence on Retin-A, or tetracycline.

I've been using tea-tree oil on my face when I remember to, and I recently started taking MSM and it seems like my face is better right now! (after 3 days of taking it?) and I've been eating lower-sugar fruits. Apples and berries.
I haven't gotten any big deep painful zits since I've been raw, so that's am improvement. I sense that those were hormone related.
Now my breakouts are little sores over a broader area.
    I'm giving it time.

    Good luck!

I had bad acne and was on the the medicines (retina A etc). the thing that really got rid of it was Accutane but not recommending you take that.

I still broke out once and a while after that but here what I notice now - I stopped using soap on my face and I pretty much almost never got another pimple (super rare I get one). If I do, coconut oil or MSM lotion clear it up like that. I just rinse my face with cold water or sometimes I use a bit of sea salt bar on it if it humid out and my face feels a bit oilier than usual.

Before I stopped using soap, I used to use Burts Bees Blemish lotion on my pimples. I use to have to buy it all the time. Now, I don't need it anymore. :)

Default Sleep + water + exercise

I notice I have great skin when I get at least 7 hrs of sleep and drink lots of water. Do some exercise too to get the blood flowing -- this helps a lot!

Sea veggies work for me too (arame, nori).

My skin was pretty bad for a while despite using retin a. I stopped the chemicals and now use either a natural chamomile face wash from naturopathica or just raw honey. What helped immensely was getting regular facials every 4 weeks. My esthetician does a lot of extractions and uses natural products. Hang in there...it will get better!
