    Default Hemerroids- Eek

I really hate to post this here, but you guys are always a wealth of knowledge. Last night I noticed some bleeding in the rectal area and after examination noticed a ruptured hemerroid. I've always had a problem with these around my menstrual cycle but never had one rupture. I think I probably strained a little too much the other day. I'm concerned about getting an infection or something. Please help.

Are you 100% raw? Increase your water. Also - of course - green smoothies. It will heal quickly. Maybe put some coconut oil on the area to keep it soft.
You shouldn't be straining to "go"...if you are, are you eating a lot of dehydrated foods? If yes, then definitely increase your water. That's a sign of dehydration in your body. Your "going" should be very easy and not strained.

veganforlife-thanks for the response. I have been doing green smoothies for 2 years now. I can't say I'm 100% raw when I have days I eat something cooked, but my diet is sooo much better then it used to be. I've had a history of constipation but when I do mostly fruit, greens and veggies everything is easy flowing. I have been eating more nuts and dehydrated foods lately and probably not drinking enough water. My mom seems to think I passed something rough that scraped it. I don't know, I just wanted to make sure I don't need to go the Doc in case of infection or something. I will try the coconut oil.

    Thanks for your wisdom
