    Question canker sores....oww!

    Hi,

I get lots of canker sores in my mouth, and can't figure out why. I have been all raw for about 3 months and mostly raw for about 1 3/4 year now.

Anyone have any ideas on how to prevent them? Thanks!

    Default canker sores

someone told me if you crush a vitamin c tablet and put it on the sore it will go away. I have not tried it. I think your body is in detox.

Some swish the hydrogen peroxide in their mouth to end the life cycle of a canker sore quickly but now that I have learned that too much exposure to hydrogen peroxide can cause Parkinsons in later years I am hesitant. Oil pulling sounds much saner.

Sugar and fats seem to aggravate the cankers in some. Perhaps eat more vegetables for awhile?

Eating lots of fruit starts them in my mouth. Very painful. I will say that oil pulling has helped me so much I can't believe it! I highly recommend oil pulling to alleviate the pain of canker sores. I use the Cold pressed sesame oil.
It also helps when I cut back on my fruit for awhile. Jeannie

Stress will bring them on for sure. Detox, too. Oil pulling sounds like a great idea. Have gotten some salve from the dentist that has worked fairly well, also. Old Pennsylvania Dutch recipe I learned (way too long ago) was to put alum on the area. They used to sell alum in "chunks" I was told although I only know of the powder. Good luck.

Try baby diaper ointment with high zinc oxide content - if they are on the lips, but in the mouth-I am not sure, if it is okey to use it. When I just feel feeling of ants running on my lips-I put it on, and sores don't even show up.

I was always told that its an acid problem, but I find I get them almost instantly after accidentally chomping down on the inside of my mouth and they are PAINFUL.

Tooth paste helps to dry them out and rinsing with warm salt water helps to dry them quickly too.
