Hello to my Bay Area friends,
Moncha, Lab Rat and I were tossing around the idea of a potluck get together on another thread. None of us really has thought through where or when to have it. I thought I'd go ahead and get this started to see who all is interested and where/when works best.
For me, the weekend of August 18th and 19th (I think that is saturday and sunday?) would work. Perhaps we can pick a nice park that has some picnic tables. Judging by the weather in SF lately, perhaps someplace outside the city would be best so we can actually be warm and enjoy some sunshine.
Feel free to chime in with ideas...

Hey Cindy, thanks for getting this started!
The weekend of the 18th-19th sounds great to me. That's probably the earliest I can do it too.
I live down near San Jose and the weather here is pretty awesome--nothing but sunny warm days this entire summer! There are a lot of county parks around here with picnic tables and hiking trails. But that might be a bit far for some people. I guess we'll just have to wait to see where everyone else lives! Oooh, I'm excited already...I hope we can really make this thing happen!

A park sounds perfect. Great idea.
On the 18th I'm going to the Raw Passion fruit picnic in Sebastopol. On the 19th I have to be in Berkeley at 4pm. I also live in San Jose(West San Jose by Cupertino). Did you know there's already a regular potluck meeting in the South Bay?High raw since April 2006

I didn't know there was already a potluck around here. Linda, can you give us some more info about it? I still think it'd be cool to do our own with members of RFT tho :)

I know there are potlucks in the city too. I agree though...it would be nice to do a RFT one. :) I could probably do the 25th or 26th.

I'm sorry guys - it looks like I'm not going to be able to swing this weekend after all.
I'll be gone over labor day, but hopefully we can plan something for the weekend after...and Lab Rat will be back then too. Sorry again!

How does the 22nd or 23rd look for everyone? I talked to lab rat and she can make it.
