    Default Calling all Houstonians - Potluck Event

    Some of us Houstonians have decided we would like to meet and have a potluck sharing our food and journeys.

    If you would like to participate, please e-mail me with your location so we may try to find a ideal meeting area. Also, I think sometime in September would work well (at least for me )

    I'm fairly new to the area, so any suggestions on locations would be awesome.

    I'm game - although not sure where to suggest the gathering. Is this for kids too? There is already a fairly large raw food/vegan potluck group in Houston, but it's not really for families as much as for singles or couples.

    I'll give some thought to location and check in with you later. I agree, September would be best...

    I think families would be great.. although, my DH is not raw and most likely would not attend. But if the majority would like to bring kids, etc. I'm good with that.
    I knew there were other meetups related to raw, I'm on a list, but haven't gone to any, have you? I thought it might be fun since we all share this site.

    oh yippie!!! I'm excited just hearing about the prospect of having a pot luck. I need all the help I can get with this raw journey. I need more real time raw friends. All my real time friends are sad. :-(
    I live in West Houston. I am close to Westheimer & the beltway. (beltway 8 and westpark toll).

    I would volunteer my house. It is a small town house but nice kitchen.

    oh, how about a raw pool party??? There are tables and a nice covered area.

    Great idea Jeannieh99! If there will be children joining, maybe Hermann Park would a good place too. There are lots of picnic tables by the children's play area.

    Hermann Park is a great place too. Central location. I am only worried about our heat! The weather here can be hard to take for long periods of time.
    btw....I think children should be allowed. They need to learn about how fun it is to get together for the right reasons. Raw food is a great reason. Children learn by example. What a great example we will be!! :-)

    I am a Houtonian. It would be neat to meet other dedicated raw foodists. When is the big meet up?
