Default Candida and the raw food diet?????

Ok Im new to this site and have a few questions so here it is.

I have a candida and am wondering how should I go about getting started on the raw food diet. I have fat malabsorbtion and cant digest grains and nuts so those are out of the question to eat raw. So is it ok to eat fruit while having candida or what? Reason why Im asking I dont want to lose any more weight then Ive already have due to the candida infection. Right now Im 8 pounds underweight this is why Im asking if the fruit will be ok or should I just use greens instead and if I just ate lots of raw greens will I lose weight?

There really is no consensus on this.

Alissa says that there is no need to withhold fruits to rid candida as long as you stay 100% raw.

Gabriel Cousens has an entire book about resolving candida and mycotoxin infections in the body called, "Rainbow Green Live-Food Cuisine" that advocates restricting all fruits for several months and slowly phasing some back in.

There are many more perspectives and success stories in the raw world.

My advice is do the research, try several ways of maintaining raw until you find the one that works for you and lessens your symptoms.

My experience is that I am incredibly sensitive to SOME fruits...I have been diagnosed with rhodiola fungal /yeast growth which is different than candida but very similar in behavior. I also have about 5 different types of bacterial /staph type strains of infection in my gut!

I was 100% off of fruit and all sugars...grains etc from feb-may. most of my fatigue and symptoms went away. in the first half of august I ate two bananas and some blackberries and some caffeine (maybe that was the problem) and had a major episode of symptoms.....

but then was shocked to eat some dates in a recipe i made for a friend and have had no reaction

I do lots of probiotic, garlic, oregano oil, oregon grape, pau d'arco and have had amazing results with colloidal silver

    good luck xox

ok I would also like to add that since beginning raw, I started with a three day cleanse and then went 100%, I have noticed an increased ability to determine how a specific food reacts in my body. going raw will help you to work this out......eat as simply prepared food, with as few ingredients as possible and see how each meal feels

You can try to eat grapefruit and berries for awhile, then add in the sweeter fruits and see how you feel.

    18-19% in the AM
    15-16% in the PM,
goal is to see this go down 3% (as they are not as accurate as they are consistant ! )

I used to have candida, I don't now, and I've always lots and lots of fruit.
The specific carbohydrate diet can heal your gut and therefore get rid of candida - you eat no carbs other than fruit veg and honey - no potatoes, parsnips, grains, sugar, etc. Certain beans are also banned. It healed my insides.
Fermented foods also help - especially kefir, you could make kefir out of green coconuts, or sauerkraut using kefir grains.
    Good luck!

Wow... this is so confusing for me. Ive been looking for a guide to a good candida clense. Some places say no fruit. Others say green smoothies are fine with fruit. Others say its ok to have fruit once youre raw. Others still say NO carbs, and here it says eat carbs. Other places say its ok only to have unrefined carbs. Im about 80% raw and trying to find a good clense...can anyone recommend one for me?????HELP!

All I can tell you is what has worked for me, Alissa and Jinjee ~ 100% raw, eat whatever you feel to; IF you aren't, then restrict fruit. I can't tell you why that makes a difference yet we've all noticed it does.

You can listen to my interviews with Alissa and Jinjee where I ask the question here: http://rawfood.revvell.com/... just scroll down.
