Ya I agree David Wolfe wasn't very informative. Did anyone listen to Dorit she is on a whole another level things I never heard of. Some of what she says I agree with but some I'm not sure I understand. She is deep.

I actually enjoyed David's call, not the same stuff I always hear him mention. I especially liked it when points came up in relation to "living" life in general...those parts of the segment I found very enlightening, and timely.

Dorit's call was pretty interesting. I'd like to meet her in person one day, just have a nice chat...learn more from her.

    :)

    Default Dorit

I heard her today (podcast is still available for another 2,5 hours), and I didn't know who she was so had no idea what to expect. She was talking a lot about soil quality, and then she started talking about how all her food comes from a Japanese farm where they ask the food if it's ready to be harvested before they collect it, and I guess it was around that point that I started zoning out... ;) Not really all that eco-friendly getting your food from Japan when you live in LA - but I may have misunderstood!

I listened to David's - it was okay...listened to a little of Gabriel's - I had to turn it off 'cause I'm just not into a lot of what he was talking about and it was starting to irritate me. I missed Dorit's but listened to Victoria's yesterday and I really enjoyed hers a lot.

Yes, I've heard them all so far and I must say that Victoria's podcast was the one I've enjoyed the most. :)

What did Victoria say about green smoothies? I was out of town so I missed it. Maybe when I get home from Work today it will still be available.

Thumbs up What Victoria said (if I remember correctly!)

Victoria talked about chimps, and how they eat 50% fruit and 50% green leaves, plus some seeds, bark and insects. Chimps have 99,4% the same genes as humans.

She then talked about how green plants function, and how, just before they bloom, all nutrients are stored in the leaves. She said that you should eat 2 bunches of green leaves every day, but that if you blend it, 1-2 quarts is enough. In her green smoothies, she currently uses 80% greens and 20% fruit plus water. Whe she started out, she could only manage 40% greens in each smoothie. As greens are not veg, they can be combined with everything.

She mentioned in particular that dandelion leaves are good for calcium and that miner's lettuce (I think this is how it's spelled!) is good for vitamin C. Other good leaves include lamb's quarters and kale.

    Hope this is useful!

Just heard there is a new bonus interview with Doug Graham on the Raw Summit site now.

    http://rawsummit.com/access/free/

You can listen to it any time or download it for free. It isn't time critical like the others by the looks of it. I haven't listened yet but it's on my ipod already!

    Love Iishin

It was very insightful. He talked about the 80-10-10 ratio. First time I have actaully heard of it. It all sounded really confusing to me.

I actually thought the David Wolfe podcast was really inspiring. I listened to it about three times!! He really opened my eyes to something that was really bugging me about being to skinny whilst on raw foods and I loved hearing about the superfoods!!

So far Dorit's has been my favourite one. I was SO bummed that I missed Dr. Gabe's one. Blast!!!
