Talking Hi- I just registered here

Hi, I want to learn how to fit in more fruits and vegetables in my diet. Like my tongue and my stomach, I have a reaction to some raw vegetables like coleslaw and I will barf. Sometimes I want to eat certain vegetables but I can't 'cause it doesn't go with other food. I love hot and spicey radishes with salt.

I would probably grow more if I started eating more fresh fruits and vegetables.

I'm friends with Stina and Kyle on this board.

    Default I'm new too!

I just found this website. I am borrowing Alissa's book and DVD from a friend. I think I will buy myself a copy.

I've been raw 1 week so far. I am loving it! I dont feel guilty anymore enjoying the great foods. I am obcessed with nuts and dates.
I am wondering if I could be eating too much though. I am not a huge veggie fan, but I love fruit.

Hi Izzy, I just registered here as well. :)
I am going to transition from vegan to raw-vegan.
It might be useful to read the FAQ if you haven't already. I'm just about to do that now!

    Default YAY Newbies!

    Hello all :)

I'm new as well, to raw living and to this site. I actually started doing research last week and am amazed at what I've found. Like my previously high dairy consumption (milk, cottage cheese, or regular cheese at almost every meal) is probably the cause of my mild sinus issues and that my headaches are most likely due to my diet being low in fresh raw foods and high in breads and sugars.

I've always loved fruits and veggies, but didn't know what to do with them. Hooray for raw recipe sites!

My only current dilemma is finding raw foods. I live in West Texas where the closest we have to an organic food store is Walmart (and an itty bitty farmer's market), everyone eats pork or beef on a daily basis, and there are absolutely no readily available raw grains, seeds, or sweeteners, although there are some beans. Any suggestions on where to get these online? Cheap?

Welcome! Have you checked out Alissa's store (to the left)?

Nuts can be obtained from www.rawfromthefarm.com OR www.nutsonline.com and seeds from www.sproutpeople.com
