    Default allopathic treatment for pain?

    Thanks for reading this.

I have severe foot pain, and it intensifies after sitting for awhile.
    I believe it's Plantar Fascitis.
I am looking for a remedy to heal it naturally.
I have heard Bromelain works, but I am not sure where to find it?

    Thank you for your thoughts!

    Hi Green Life,

Most pain is due to a build up of toxins either in the afflicted area or throughout the entire system. The other cause is injury. Being the pain is after sitting it most likely toxins, and could be helped in two ways.

    One - move more.

The circulatory system has the heart pumping blood to the cells 24/7. The lymph system, which carries the waste from the cells, is larger than the circulatory system and has no pump. The only way it moves is if we move. Walking some every day and increasing to maybe an hour a day is very good exercise for the lymph system.

Skin brushing is also good. There is an excellent article on another website about skin brushing. I'll find it and post the link here for you. This is something that can be done for a few minutes before your bath and some have had tremendous results.

The second thing is to increase your water intake. No matter how much water you are now drinking it is not enough. Otherwise your toxins would be flushed from the system and no pain. We need an ounce of water for every two pounds of weight every single day. Raw foodists who eat only high water foods such as fruit, veggies, and greens get some of the needed water through food. Most do not eat that way and need to drink their water.

So these two things are free or at least fairly inexpensive even if the water is bought by the gallon. Please try them, they have amazing results.

    Hi Teri,.

    Very great advice, thank you.

I have been daily drinking over 1 gallon of water a day.

I have not been walking because of the pain in my heel/ankle. It hurts way too much. It feels as though I need a cane.

I injured my foot/ankle about 5 years ago and sprained it, but never went to get it looked at.

I am wondering if I should just ignore the pain and walk anyway?

Bromelain can be obtained from the health food store. Pineapple is the source of bromelain. I thought Plantar Fascitis causes more pain with walking, rather than after sitting. After sitting pain makes me think maybe nerve compression, either from structural or muscle impingement. Tahoma Clinic in Renton Washington is a natropathic clinic, they have a list of supplements to accelerate healing. They list bromelain as helping with the healing process of surgical situations, stating it helps with bruising, and soreness. I'm not sure it is what you are looking for. Have you tried massage of the foot after a warm soak in magnesium sulfate? I would try that 2 times a day for a week and evaluate where you were at. Hope that helps some, I wish good health to you.

thank you, Sun Vegan. I like that name, btw.

I am allergic to sulfate/sulfer, so that's out.

I will get some bromelain from my HFS, too.

    Yeh, so, thanks!
