I'm using cold-pressed organic sesame oil. I do it twice a day--once in the morning and once before bed--for 20 minutes. :)

I use organic, unrefined cold-pressed sunflower oil. I just started yesterday, I did it twice yesterday and I'm doing it right now for the first time in the day

Another surprise after this morning's oil pulling - mucous plugs were loosened and I was able to easily cough them up (not normally an easy task for me)!! ~ Cathy

I've been op'ing for about a week now... with coconut oil and sesame oil.
I cannot believe how ridiculously soft my skin has become!!!! I am so going to do this throughout the winter when my skin usually is so dry.

I never thought I'd be telling people to "feel my elbows" for proof of something. But I AM! ha hee Go figure....

And yep...it loosens mucus in me too. I feel like I need to clear my throat when I'm finished. uhhuummmmm...ya know?

Default I only did it once today.

But tomorrow i want to do it at least twice.
My dh did it for 20 minutes but i started coughing up mucus and had to spit it out.
I've read that if your body is overly toxic it can lead to disease and it can also hinder weighloss.
I plan to keep up with the oil pulling, i like the benefits that i've read about:)

Are you only supposed to do it when you haven't eaten- like first thing in the morning when your stomach is empty? I thought I had read that.

I've oil pulled in the past with the only results being my mouth feel really clean, but swishing anything around in your mouth for 20 minutes is going to clean it.

Regarding it turning white, it is just the swishing that does that. That has nothing to do with the toxins you're pulling*. Think of mayonnaise, or any other oil-based food or thing, when you blend it up, it froths.

*I don't know if it really does pull toxins or if it's a crock. I'm not saying one way or the other, to clarify. Just explaining some things that are being attributed incorrectly to other things. I say if it works for you, that's all that matters.

    Default Oh My Gosh!!!!

I've been doing "oil pulling" for three days and i just felt my side of my gums and i've had an abcess there for well over a year and now it has gotten so small it's almost disappeared
Unbelievable, and no more pain in my bottom teeth with i had noticed that my gums were receding there.
I will keep this up for the "REST OF MY LIFE".

Thanks for the post on oil pulling. I had heard of it before but had no idea what it was. When I heard the word I kept thinking of crude oil and things related to that nature (lol). I started yesterday, once in the morning and once at night. I even got my boyfriend to do it with me. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

I'll be looking forward to reading your post on the results! ;)
the cocanut oil works better for me I went back to it.

my teeth are really strong and dont move much so that is a good thing.

Funny thing is I enjoy pulling. So I do it 20 min every morning.
