    Organic Vegan Raw Food Event
    at Natural Zing Farm in Mount Airy, Maryland

    Saturday, July 21st
    3 P.M. – 9 P.M.

    If you are planning to bring a dish: Please bring a dish that feeds seven. Bring a dish that is 100% living/raw vegan food, very preferably organic. Please provide list of ingredients. Ideas: salad fixings, fruit salad, or your favorite raw/living food recipe.

    July Event Schedule and Highlights

    * Taste an array of living food dishes
    * 3:30 pm Start Eating
    * 5 pm "How to grow your own food" by Jeff Rose, owner of Natural Zing and farmer. Jeff will provide a farm tour and educational session on how to grow your own organic food. There is no act more gratifying, more basic, more liberating, than to coax food from the Earth. From the satisfaction of just doing it, to saving money, to providing the most nutrition food for you and your family, the reasons are plentiful. In this session you'll learn about container gardening in small spaces, growing in gardens, growing in greenhouses for year round growing and harvesting wild foods.

    *7 pm "Active Isolated Stretching (AIS)" 1 hour session by Robert Jordan, a nationally certified massage therapist (NCTMB). AIS is a system for use by any individual who suffers from contracted, painful muscles. Sedentary living habits and the repeated (habitual) use of flexor muscles are often major reasons for lack of complete range of motion. For example sitting at a computer all day may cause stiffness in the shoulders and carpal tunnel syndrome. One benefit is that AIS improves oxygenation and nutrition of myofascial structures promoting growth and repair. To learn more about AIS go to Robert's website: http://www.robertjordanhealthservices.com
    *** Please wear loose clothing for stretching.

    * Possible campfire, if time permits.

    Enter to WIN PRIZES -- every person bringing a dish is entered into a raffle to win a $30 gift certificate to Natural Zing and other door prizes.

    Natural Zing products will be on display.
    Pre-event orders picked up at the event will receive 10% off for credit card / check, 20% off cash only (in stock items, not availible on specials or bulk discounted items). To view products go to www.NaturalZing.com.

    A donation of $10.00 per person is requested if you do not bring a dish.

    I think Jeff said they'd have a few this fall and then a big New Year's party. But I'm pretty sure this is the last one for the summer.

    Lucy,

    I've only been to the one, and there was a decent group there--I'd say about 15 or so, maybe 20?? Seems like a lot of MD folks are interested in this one. It's at Jeff and Helen's house, and it's in the most beautiful area--all farmland.

    It would be so great if you made it!!
