Default Where to buy non-toxic, natural toys for puppies?

    Hello all,

I will be getting a maltese puppy sometimes very soon, and I"m preparing my home for it now. Does anyone know where I can get non-toxic toys made from natural material?

    Thanks in advance...

I know my LHFS carries various items. I'd check with them and request them...just a thought.

I found them through Debra Lynn Dadd's list of approved products:

    Hey Linda!

I remember you asking before about different diet options. What are your plans for that?? If it's helpful to know, since I have changed my dog to the raw food diet only two weeks ago, he has seen HUGE improvements!!! (much healthier teeth-- which he had problems with this whole life that were "genetic" even on a special vet formula tooth diet food, no more "permanent, genetic" gross oozing from his eyes, has lost some weight, does have more energy...)

Sorry that this is off topic, but I'm curious what you are planning!

And I'm happy for you that you're getting a dog since that is something you seemed to want so much!

    Hi EvaRB,

Thanks for asking and sharing. :) I have decided that a raw vegetarian diet is good. I'm still a little unsure about meat, but I think I will feed it eggs. Do you feed your dog meat? Hearing your dog's positive effect is so inspiring. Thanks!

You're are so right, I've been wanting a maltese puppy for a few months already. But I haven't gotten one because I wanted to learn as much as I can about dog diet, training, etc... before I get one. I'm also very cautious about the breeders...I want to make sure I buy from responsible breeders. It has not been easy in this regard. Sometimes, I want and think about the dogs so bad that I get tempted to just buy the one I adore. But I always have to remind myself to be patient and take my time in choosing one, since it will be with me for around 15 years.

Yes, that does include raw meat. I feed him about 80% raw meat, and about 20% other stuff. The other stuff is ground flax seed, blended veggies, sometimes blended fruit, mixed with water. It looks like mush, but he eats it right up. Since I started this, I've noticed that he now is finding and eating bugs too, which is sort of funny.

It really grosses me out to feed him the meat, but I'm seeing his health improve and all of his genetic problems disappear.

Well, and I get my husband to feed it to him sometimes too.
