From Sharon in CO:
I just got finished reading the very long Nazariah interview thread on here. The Nazariah thing has been a huge source of discussion on many raw food message boards - it is nothing new. Usually a new, concerned raw fooder stumbles on it somehow and it seems to cause a lot of discomfort and distention.

I found this on Dr. Graham's board. Several years ago he had symtoms of B-12 defiency, he had a blood test that confirmed it, supplemented until his nutrients were at an acceptable level, and then stopped using frozen foods which he found to be suspect in hindering the reproduction of B-12. He found that B-12 is prouced in a healthy gut. Here's a link to more info on B-12. He has expressed before that there is no need to supplement unless necessary via blood analysis results.

Hi Sharon,

I checked and found that the cost for a B-12
blood test is $70. A 6 month supply of a B-12
supplement is only about $5. I'd rather pay $5
to be safe!

Doug Graham says don't supplement unless you're
tested and found to be deficient, but it is pretty
expensive to be tested every year.

Check out some symptoms of B-12 deficiency->

Here is the test->

"Norman Clinical Laboratory provides a highly accurate test at a relatively low price to encourage physicians to use the UMMA test for screening.
Cost is $70.00. Discounts are available for screening or research studies if specimens are submitted in groups of 20 or more. Call 1-800-397-7408"
