Question Dejaveux - what does it mean?

I'm not even sure if I spelled it correctly or not...but hopefully you all know what I'm talking about.

My husband believes that when he has dejaveux (sp?), it indicates his life/path is on track. I know that I have them and he's been having them often lately. There'll be times when something will be going on or occuring and I'll just get this like "WHOA!" feeling come over me and it'll be as though it's something that happened before.

What does it mean to you or have any of you read or learned what it means when one experiences it?

    thanks in advance!

I get that so much ,like I will be talking to someone and be like wasnt I doing this before -I have a theory ~what if its our subconcious telling the future ,either in a dream or just somewhere in our mind,I THINK ITS SORT OF a more common psycic ability....

    Default The walking dictionary responds...

It's spelled "deja vu," Rawkinlocs. If you wanna get really fancy, there's an accent over the "a," as I recall, but most English texts just spell it as I did.

Yeah, I'd agree with VeganVixen. Geez, I'm gonna owe her royalty payments at the rate I've been agreeing with her lately!

Hey Cherie. Deja vu! This is a french term that means already seen.
I like how your husband thinks of it...thats great.

Im my spiritual path, we believe in reincarnation. That we, Soul live more than just one life, and have had so many, many experiences. So we relate it to past-life experience.

Basically, you look at something or someone, or have an experience and you feel something inside of you vibrate.Like a bell being struck, the feeling echoed in Soul, its ripples move outward to the conscious mind and physical senses.

I get that feeling and beleive in past lives and past spirits who are there for a reason -a bond that surpasses centuries!!!

but this is a different thing completely ,I ACTUALLY SEE IT!I "play" the video in my head and have seen myself IN that spot talking about THE SAME thing -its VERY vivid!!!

When I was little I could close my eyes and isntantly see moving stars (like the screensaver),then a bunch of black and white drawings -and I would look for the puppy drawing -then see "movies"

you guys might think im CRAZY but I saw TWO FLAMING TOWERS FALL DOWN when I was 7 in the park and hiding in a jungle gym while playing hide and seek -when I told my freind hiding next to me she thought I was NUTS -at the time I thought it was "the end of the world or something"- but 9 years later I knew what it was........

Default future may be the past!

I agree with all the opinions above. The spiritual philosophy which i am into kind of puts them all together. it is the subconscious knowing the future, but something can only be in your subconsious if it's already happened! But actually it has happened before! Because time, like seasons, and everything else in natural world is cyclic. Therefore to see the future is also to recall the past. So Notradamas wasn't actually seeing the future, he was remembering the past - the previous cycle of time! It all repeats identically, but we forget it, except for these few moments. The whole story. all your births are recorded in your soul, like a record that plays out.

Anyway i don't expect anyone to dig this, but it's an interesting concept. Which for me explains a lot of things.

Also it could be just recent past life memories, but that is more like, i feel i've been here before. I know the streets of this city, though i've never been here before. Rather than the wierd flash you get with Dejavu.

also, i think i read somewhere, that it could be just your brain delay in registering the scenery you are in. so you get a been here before feeling but actually it was only a nano-second before that you were there, but you were unconscious of what you were taking in.

    Default agree!

yeah, that's the kind of boring theory that desperate scientists come up with to prove to us niave believers that spirituality is an illusion, and God is just a chemical reaction in your brain.

yep, I read years ago in Scientific America that scientist attributed deja vu to synapsus (sp?) and neuro transmitters firing in your brain or something that made you *think* you were seeing something for the second time.

I dunno. The one's I've had I could tell what the person with me would say next. I don't see how my brain could fire what they were going to say? I'm not sure whether it's the past life (wouldn't you remember old fashioned stuff? LOL! I've had them where I was in the same house, the same thing was on the tv with the same person?) or having seen these things in dreams before they happened. I have felt like I might have dreamed the things previously when they happen.

Deja vu is also a good way to know that you are on the right path with your life contract with God/dess. For me a lot of the times when I get deja vu it's just a signal and confirmation to let me know that I am doing what I am suppose to be doing in life, that everything (even the smallest thing) is in it's place for me to accomplish what needs to be accomplished with my life's purpose.

That's ex-ACTLY what my husband believes!! I'll take that one and apply that particular meaning to our lives as we had always done! Thanks :)

WOW, So what else have you drempt about?

That's how I knew my LMP was the perfect pick--DEJA VU! I think I have alot more dreams that end up in my future--the mroe aware I am the more chronic they are.

Lunawitch, that's a great concept to "be track" in life.
