Juicers vs. Juice-Extractors
Peace to everyone,
i just wanted to know what the main difference was between a fruit/vegetable juicer and a juice extractor. i saw both of these at the store and i just wanted to know what some of the key differences are between the two. is one more beneficial than the other???

Not sure what you mean. I think they are the same. A juicer extracts juice also ~ meaning it separates the juice from the pulp.
The differences would be more in the types of juicers. I'd suggest you google the various ones you are looking at and see what each offers and if it's what you are looking for.
Injoy ~

HUMMMMMM
Well, I am sure there MUST be a difference, but what the heck it is, I surely don't know.
I have several juicers, and I will tell you my experience with them, in order of first purchase.
I have a salton centrifugal juicer, it works pretty well to remove pulp from the fuit/veggie and leaves a pretty wet pulp that you can put back through, but then your juice must be strained through a coffee filter because of all the baby fuzzy pulpy stuff, (carrot especially) like fine talc. I used to think this worked great.
Then I bout a champion juicer, and what a big difference.
no more wet pulp and much much easier to clean, no tooth brush scrubbing, and the juice tasted so much better, and it lasted longer.
So, I actually tried them side by side once as an experiment, with carrott juice.
I took 1 pound of carrotts, split them in half and juiced each half in each juicer, I got about 25% more out of the champion, and the juice was bright orange, and tasted great. the juice out of the salton was a little brownish, and tasted metalic, not exactly sure why, but comparatively it did.
I then put them both in the fridge, within about 1 hour the salton was nasty tasting, almost rancid, the champion juice still tasted great.
I also have a Vita Mix, and it uses the entire fruit, no pulp waste, but each person is different on what they like, I like orange jucie every morning, and my hubby makes it for me in the Vita mix, so I am actually drinking oranges, he peels them then takes off the white pithy part, and take out the seeds, then he tosses them in.
I love this, he makes about a quart, which I drink throughout the day.
We do go through mass quantities of oranges and some are better than others, valencias are really good and juicy, and the blook oranges add more tartness to the mix.
Navel are not good for juicing but great for eating.
And sometimes he adds tangelos, or sumi's, or whatever is at the market that day.
He loves to prepare food for me, as I am always busy on some art work, and although he is an artist also, he smokes, so whenever he goes outside to smoke (once or twice a day) he will make me my lunch or snack or whatever.
Then he always helps me make my raw dinner, and he makes his own cooked in the garage.
Life is grand.
