Thread: Over 50

  1. Default

I am going to pop in and say HEY!
I am 52 and I can honestly say I have never felt better.
I have the best health I have ever had and I have lots of energy.
I do wish I had started this much earlier, but whatever, I am glad I am doing it now!!!

Wow, I never dreamed that this thread would still be active for so long.

I started this thread and I am still struggling with raw but I feel in a better place emotionally now. I am 57 years old now and done with menopause which really threw me into a tailspin. Not so much physically but emotionally. I am giving it another whirl. I love to juice and that helps me with cravings.

I hope that more will share their over 50 experiences here.

..looks like I am a real oldster here. I just started on the Raw Foods and am joining the 30 day deal. Just reading all the comments makes me feel better and after 3 days I am amazed at how well I feel already.

Should i confess my age? I'm 80 and loving it!

Wow Boonie. That's great. It's never too late to start. I feel so much better raw. I am only 85 to 90% raw right now but I am loving it!! Keep us up to date as to how you are doing

I'm 53 and been at this since July 2006. Was 100% for 2 years but do better on around 85% high raw/vegan. Got too thin! Healed many ailments/allergies.

I will be 54 in May. I am just now "feeling" my age so I need to do some serious diet considerations. Or at least say life style instead of diet. I definately need to avoid meat at all costs now, and try to stay on raw as much as possible. I have done cleanses and I could definately feel those toxins getting out. It was a terrible feeling. Once I get myself cleaned up, I am definately not going back to things the way they were. I am having a terrible pain in my right knee and leg and right ear....no doctor can find out what the problem really is. I am hoping the change in menu can help resolve it since medications are not working.

Default New to Raw and new to my 50's (well, almost)

Hi guys! I'll be 50 in September; is it too soon for me to join you?

I'm just in my third week raw of my first 30 day challenge. It's been rough but I'm sticking with it. And there have been 15.8 pounds released as a result.

I was vegan for 8 months before I began the challenge. Really glad I did it that way: it would have been such a tough transition if I had not already cleaned up my diet considerably.

Mothergoose, I hope you find this program to free you of pain as quickly as I have been. In just 3 weeks, the aches and pains are greatly reduced!

From what is posted around the site, this is not an uncommon occurrence.

    .
Jump on board. I have a habit of rounding up my age so once you are over the six months you qualify.

Look at how old this is. I am now almost 60 and raw for almost 6 years. I got my hair cut very short yesterday and as a result my residual colour was cut out and what was left was my natural almost grey hair and I am seriously considering that it is time to go grey gracefully.

Bet you're cute as a bug with your short 'almost grey' hair! GO for it.

I'm 59 (til July 24, anyway) and on my own RAW journey. Ups and downs, for sure, but so many benefits!

Ha. I caved in about 2 hours ago and went to the health food store and bought some colour. I have not put it in yet but intend to.
    Maybe next year.
