    Default Hey! I'm 53!

I'm new and been on the 30 day June challenge.
I'm cold and a little week but feel pretty good. I didnt think there were too many of us. I'll be doing a blog maybe tomorrow but kinda weak like I said and waiting to get fired so I can maybe get a life starting friday. It would be nice to have an over 50 thread wouldnt it?

BDraw that recipe sounds yummy! I'll give it a try thanks. Finally had 1 whole day raw yesterday. My dh is starting to get into it now too, that's helping a lot! We're getting up into the 90's today, so green smoothies all around . . .

sport - you've reminded me to keep a journal . . . coffee definitely triggers hot flashes for me, glad I was able to kick that habit!

I'm 54 and about 80% raw. I have to cook for my family too and it smells so good I give in sometimes......but I love the changes that eating raw has given me....no more waking up in the morning with my feet feeling stiff till I walk a little....I have more energy, look better and am trying to 100%. Thought that I would dredge this back up since we have alot of newbies and many may fit into this category and get encouragement from it. :)

    Cool Over 50

I will be turning 50 in less than 4 months and I am so excited that there are so many others on this board over 50! I am about 95% raw and have been on and off for almost a year and a half now. I love it and I can definitely see many positive changes.

    Good Morning!

When this thread first came out I was hopping that "Over 50" would become a part of this board. This is great. I just woke up so I'll tell you a little about me in a bit. I am about 75% raw. Sometimes more. I'm 53.

Default No, I am the oldest!

I am 71 . . . and just became interested in RAW. Started Monday (and this is Wednesday). Concerned that I cannot be 100%. I have a husband and we have a social life, etc., etc. Concerned about what results, if any, without being 100%. I am very healthy. Take thyroid medication, depression problems, and need to lose 30 pounds.

Would appreciate ANY and ALL encouragement and advice!

    styersky- welcome!

Yep... I'm over 50. and glad to see that I'm not the only one. Sometimes it seems like everybody here is about 20.

    Another 53!

I had no idea there were so many 50+. This is exciting!

We've all decided not to age like the status quo, eh?

I'm almost 51 and this is my first week of eating Raw. I manage to keep breakfast and lunch raw but dinner is another item for the time being.

    One of these days though.........

Thanks for all of the responses . . .

This will be so encouraging to hear from all of you as I try to progress. I already know it's the way to go.

Tell me some of your favorite recipes. This is only my third day and mostly smoothies so far. Would like to know your favorites. I am rather simple now in the beginning. What do you do when you have guests for dinner ?????

styersky- Maybe you should start a new thread with that question in case all the under 50 crowd has some good ideas and wants to chime in.
