  1. Default wheatgrass please help?

i live in philadelphia and can't find wheatgrass anywhere. there was a healthfood store who use to sell wheatgrass shots but they no longer do so because the demand was not there. can i order the juice online? wheatgrass juicers are so expensive so i have not ordered any trays...is there another way? i love the way this stuff makes me feel.

Grow your own and invest in a juicer.

It costs about a dime to grow that $2.50 - $3.00 daily shot you (and others) do....

Any recommendations on an electric juicer? I'd love to invest in one and start growing.

I have a manual juicer. I think Revvell maybe sells the kind I have? Not sure. I like doing it manually, it's very easy. I also juice it, then freeze in the little jelly jars, or you could use ice cub trays. Here's the kind I have:

I like working with my food instead of having everything electric. They are like little mini workouts.
But, I also know folks that love their electric ones. I juice like every week, so I figure once a week for me to do a little upper arm workout is a fair trade.
I also have two Fresh Life (electric) sprouters. I do not use any soil. When I juice my grass I do the whole thing, roots and all. These are extremely easy, I just change the water daily, using the old water for my houseplants. I sprout my wheatgrass in them and buckwheat and mung beans, the bigger seeds. For the alfalfa I use my nut bag to sprout in.

    Default Wheatgrass

    http://www.hippocratesgreenhouse.com/

This is my brother's website. He's a master grower..I am in the process of starting a wheatgrass/seed/grow your own business with his help. I'll let this site know when our doors open. Fresh grass, juiced, is the optimal. I will be only using that from now on, thankfully. I've bought frozen in the past from health food stores. It's ok. There's someone online that does sell the juice frozen. Just google that. But it's not better than fresh and he grows his grass outside in the field. It's very easy to grow and the manual juicer on my brother's site is very inexpensive. Hippocrates also sells some wonderful racks(my brother's) that makes growing in small spaces really great. good luck
I'd rather juice my grass!

Sure it can, but the benefits from it are best when drank alone.

    That's a definite. Try doing a water chaser. :)
