Default Any restaurants in San Diego?

I'm sure they're out there; I just don't know where to look.

    Google: Raw Food, San Diego...

Just know Kung Food Cafe is closed. Cilantro Live and Coleur (something or other) is still open I believe. I'd do it for ya, but no time today.

Now that this is bumped up, I'm sure others will respond. :)

When did Kung Food close??? I live in SF, but ate there almost every trip home to visit my parents. I guess my dad must be rejoicing that he won't have to go there anymore (since it was right by his office). They were mostly cooked though. Had the best veggie burgers ever. And a drive through.

Cilantros now has 4 locations. Including a new one in Hillcrest (sorry Dad). I have only been once, but it was pretty good. There is also a new place in Leucadia. Haven't tried it yet and can never remember the name.

I also hear there are raw potlucks at Ranchos market and that the market carries a lot of raw stuff. And there is a new brand of raw ice creams being sold in places like Jimbos.

And don't forget about all the wonderful farmers markets around town. :)

The place in Leucadia (or is it Encinitas?) is called The Greenery; it's located on Daphne street. It's very good. There is also a great restuarant in SD called Spreads which will make very good raw food if you call them in advance. I recommend the raw food deli case at Rancho's market in North Park. And of course, there is Cilantro Live.

yay, I went to the Hillcrest one yesterday for lunch too!! It was my first time. Since I went with a friend, we were able to order/try more stuff. We ordered the sampler ( with rawviolis, mini pizzas, spring roll, buenos vida wrap, and nori rolls), 1/2 soup 1/2 salad- coconut soup and spicy thai salad. we also ordered the rawberry shortcake ( the ice cream on it was SOOOOOO yummy...). I thought the food was VERY good, and the staff members were very helpful, too=) Definitely recommend this place if you're in san diego. I think I'll be taking more people over there next time!!!
