    Question Alissa, do you purchase...

    Hi Alissa,

    Just wondering if you ever purchase raw food online. What are some of the sites that you prefer and what items do you prefer? I am considering ordering a few things and I just wanted some imput and advise! Thanks!

    Default Raw Food Stores

    I have been doing research for well over a year on “all” the sites that offer food on the net. The reason for this is we're building our own site which will be the "one stop shop.' Opening up a successful business on line isn't as easy as getting an internet site and start selling products which is what most people do. The people who have taken the time to do it correctly stand out among the others and they are most successful. The two major sites out there are www.rawfood.com (David Wolfe) and www.eatraw.com (John Romeo) However, there are still differences to both of these sites. Raw Food.com is a good site, they have great products and much to choose from. Their shipping is speedy and the products arrive in good shape. They include some nice literature in their package and all is well. The two drawbacks are the highest price on the net and “phone” customer service is a bit choppy. Overall I would rate them an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Eat raw.com used to be very good but has slipped over that past year. One of their big promotions that I really enjoyed was free shipping over $100.00. They have now changed that to $125.00 and lost my big orders. I'm not sure if they got greedy or wasn't able to make enough money on the products. The other aspect is there shopping cart. They will NOT tell you how much shipping is (even though it is reasonable) until AFTER you have purchased your products. This is a shady way to do business in my book. Next on the list is their $35.00 minimum order. This is a HUGE turnoff when someone wants to get something. In fact, I have gone to Raw Food.com to buy one item for more money just because of the minimum order at Eat Raw. Last but not least...I ordered a couple of items and it took 7 days to get from New York to Michigan…TOO LONG. Also keep in mind that Raw Food.com in located in CA and Eat Raw.com is in NY. This will also determine who I purchase from. If it’s $1.00 less at one site but will take three more days to get to me…I will pay the dollar because I want it. I rate Eat Raw.com at a 5. Hope this helps

    Warmly,

    Steven

    I recently ordered from Natural Zing and their shipping wasn't bad and I ordered from them and Eat Raw on the same day and the packages arrived the same day as well. My package from NZ was 21 pounds and my shipping cost was a bit over $10, which I didn't think was bad. They have some nice stuff on their site too. That raw apple granola cereal is great!

    I still like eat raw because some of their olives are awesome!

    Default Natural Zing

    [FONT=Arial]Hello!

    Natural Zing does do a good job as I have heard from others. However, they don't fall directly into the "only raw food" category so I wasn't considering them. WOW...21lbs for $10.00 smackaroos is a wonderful deal!

    Thanks for sharing

    Warmly,

    Steven

    Hi!
    I really appreciate both of your suggestions. I had never heard of natural zing before so I am going to check that one out. I let you know how it goes.
