    Default Tips for going 100%

Let's share tips for going 100%. Here's my personal thoughts

The thing that launched me into 100% raw with ease was an extended juice fast. Some people think this is good, some don't, every person's experience is different. I adored my fast, and it allowed me to go 100% raw with ease, I've never looked back, I've never once craved cooked food after the thorough detox the fasting gave me.

I also think Alissa's tip to eat a lot when going raw the first time is important. The stomach feels strange at first on raw, rarely full. It takes awhile to embrace the feeling of lightness that raw provides, most people feel it's a sense of "emptiness."

    What other tips??

I think finding other people who are doing this, whether they are your friends or people on raw food boards, etc. is really helpful. When you start to feel alone in this is when you can really get into trouble.

I LOVE juicing; it always gets me back on track!
I often try to do a week of just juice every once in a while to clean out and just to increase my energy.

It also slows me down if im getting out of control with food and making too much yummy stuff!

    Blessings,
    Pattie

I agree. Find someone raw whether they are in your town or online. Ask lots of questions on what is making it hard for you to stay raw. The answer might be easier than you expected.

I often need help since I cook for the family. I try to set out raw fruits and veggies and make them a main dish. It gets hard sometimes to keep away from those favorite family dishes. I've stuck with it but some days there's a longing. When I taste something I'm disappointed.

I keep Alissa's book in the kitchen and I feel like I'm answering direct to her. She keeps me honest.

    Red face

Get ready for some painful emotional detox and ride it through to the very end. Get ready to use avocados as a staple in your diet. Don't turn down any raw plant food if it's edible. Eat as much as you want. Post often about everything that's going on, on raw food forums, for support, processing, and comradery.
