Thread: Best Juicer?

  1. #1

    Default Best Juicer?

Does anyone have a particular brand of juicer they would reccomend? I use a Juiceman II right now, but my grandmother is buying us one as a wedding gift and since we use it so much, I want to get a really really nice one. I know some of them are so hard to clean though... Any suggestions would be great:)

Someone did a Thread on this a week ago....If you would check the "Search" at the top of this page you will find it.

But for me I like the Jack LaLane Juicer and Always a Vita-Mix. I would buy the Jack myself and accept the Vita-Mix as a gift. The Vita-Mix cost from $350-550............

My ideal juicer of choice would be the Greenstar.

We have a Champion, an industrial juicer, and we use the Vita-Mix w/nutmilk bag. We will soon be getting the Greenstar as it really is superior in many ways to all the others.

It completely juices your greens leaving no liquid in the pulp. It also smashes the juice out instead of chopping it to shreds. This means more of nutrients are left in tact in the juice.

Hi- Congrats on your upcoming(hope I am not posting too late-lol)marriage!
We have a GreenStar and LOVE it ..it can make juice(of course), as well as wheatgrass and make nut butters...it has a "blank" screen similar to the champion. they did test of the juice from the GS, due to the way it is constructed, the juice stays nutrient dense longer....In any case it is easy to use and clean up...I strongly reccomend it...GreenStar.....If you have any other questions just let me know--hope it helps....MamaP

After 4 years of buying cheap juicers ranging from $20 to $200, this week I bought a Green star. My others were all centrifugal juicers with varying capacities and I have to say that the cheapest was better than the most expensive in terms of durability and capacity. However, as I've learned more about raw food and nutrition, my juicing needs have changed from apple and carrot to greens and beetroot, for example. My last juicer hated beetroot and spat it out of the feeder tube at every opportunity - come and see my kitchen ceiling!

Anyway, I chose the Greenstar on the grounds that if it can handle wheatgrass, it'll manage kale and spinach too. The reviews that I've read suggested that others are easier to clean but I find it easier than my centrifugal juicers as it has a tiny mesh bit compared to them and that's the hardest part to clean. The cleaning brush is also fantastic.

It's only been here a few days but already I'm wondering why I left it so long - in the same way that I wondered about my Vitamix and Excaliber!

Love my Greenstar! Use it for everything from juice to sorbets to nut butters! HTH!
