    Question aloe vera juice

    hello all!

I was wondering if anyone knew how to properly juice aloe vera leaves? I'd imagine you would just throw it into your juice and drink, but that seems like it would produce very bitter-tasting juice. Plus, what is the difference between aloe vera juice and the aloe vera gel? Does the juice have added water?

Can you just eat the aloe vera leaves?

    thanks!

    be well!

    1. Just cut 10 to 12 leaves.

    2. Cut off both thorny sides with a potato peeler peel off the back side of the leaf.

    3. Scrap off the clear inside with a knife and put into the blender.

    4. Blend with a gallon of water or fruit juice.

    5. If just using water, add juice from one fresh lemon or lime.

    6. Refrigerate.

Does anyone know if it's safe to also eat the hard outer shell of the aloe leaves?

I think the taste of it will take away your desire to eat it.

Cool! I was just wondering this myself. I'd love to keep a good aloe plant in the house. My parents had them when I was growing up, but I think they all either died or were given away already. I should find one. I wonder how it would taste in a green smoothie...

If I am adding it to juice I do not bother to peel it as I assume that thoese bits are filtered out.
If adding it to a smoothie, I peel and scrape.

no, and it does not make the pulp slimey either so I guess that the slime is broken down by the juicer.
