    Default The Plant in Dumbo

I just read about The Plant in Dumbo (Brooklyn, NY - I think). It's a central cooking location for a series of juice bar/raw cafes called Blue Green and is run by Matthew of Pure Food and Wine. They offer a prix fixe multi course gourmet meal on Fridays as well as classes.

I was wondering if anyone had been there yet? Or to Blue Green? I saw it mentioned on another forum, but the person had not been. I had no idea it existed...or that Matthew ran juice bars. Now I'm super dying to get to NYC...I'll try Pure Food and Wine AND The Plant! :) And all the other places...

    Hi,

Yes, I have been there a few times. Was lucky enough to see David Wolfe there last fall. It is a neat place, great food of course! We have not been there in months now. Several of the Blue Green locations have closed ans the web site has not been updated in a while. I used to get weekly e-mails from them but no more? So call before you go.

Courage does not always roar, it is sometimes a quiet voice at the end of the day saying I will try again tomorrow.

Is there a website or a place to go to find Raw restaurants? I guess I could google it.

I live near Dallas and would LOVE to find a raw restaurant. I know Cynthia Beavers used to have a restaurant here but she's moved to Tulsa and now delivers her food nationwide. Haven't done it yet (kind of pricey) but I'm thinking about it...

Dallas? Wow, I'm going to Arlington where my daughter lives next weekend for her birthday. She doesn't know I'm coming but I'l be there next Sat. Hoping son in law did not blow it. If he did he won't know next time as this is a super surprise for her.

Cynthia is in Tulsa, OK? Wow.
