Question Grapefruit Juice Fast (a.k.a. Pool party HELP!)

I have a pool party this next Saturday. Although I've lost nearly 20 lbs.
rawing it these last couple of months, I wasn't quite ready for a pool
party yet But I am gonna suck it up for my kids sake and go swimming
    anyways. So here's my question:

Has anyone done a grapefruit juice fast??? David Wolfe wrote in one of his
books that this helps with cellulite (he recommended 3 days), so I thought I'd give it a go. Wanted to try fasting anyways. Anyone know from experience if this really helped with there cellulite at all?

    TIA
    Warmly, Punky

cranberry is extremely good for cellulite (unfortunatley they are out of season when bikinis are in season...unless you can find them frozen or raw/dried and soak them in water then blend youre not going to get anyfresh cranberries now)also try lemons ,grapefruit probably works....

Also a REALLY great "trick" is to get seaweed (enough to cover area applied)and soaked (for an hour or two)coffee grounds and blend to a "mask" for the ...errrr....backside;) (or wherever needed) then wrap in saran wrap (hey I didnt say it wasnt messy and lay for as long as you can w/o moving(hopefully at least an hour) .......do this for as many consecutive days as you can until the party
    fairies eat raw!

I think the fasting in general would help with the issue. Not so much the food, or a particular type of food. Dr. Doug Graham has said that no specific food can heal anything - only your body can heal itself - but it is important to be nourished and cirtus juices would be great during your cleanse. Not too many people can handle a water fast, especially if the body isn't going to be in rest mode.

Thank you Sharon for the reply.
I think I will do a 2 day juice fast. Maybe attempt a 3 day next week.
Oh, I am not ready for any kind of water fast for sure. Maybe
down the road...way down the road, lol.

Punky, I think juice fasting is great! I did an extended one about a month ago, with some water fasting in between. But even a few days seems to recalibrate the body and smooth everything out (=backside and thighs can look much nicer!).

And don't feel that you need to attempt water fasting at this point; it can be really tough and lead to discouragement, whereas juice tends to keep the body full of energy.

    Blessings!

I tried it years ago, and it did seem to work some.

I think the biggest thing that you can do to rid yourself of cellulite is to drink lots of water.

although fat is NOT supposed to be water soluable, our toxins leave our body in several ways, sweat, urine, breath, skin secreations, etc.

If you are drinking lots of water, you will help your body to get rid of toxins, which cause cellulite.

Saunas are excellent for this, if you don't have access to a sauna, you can get a couple of little electric heaters, and turn them up full blast, and sit under a blanket in front of them, with a littel opening in the blanket to let he heat in, when you feel like youv'e sweat for about 20 minutes, then take a cool shower, and scrape off your skin, or loofah it, this will remove the toxins, do this at least once a day, and you will see a big difference in your skin and cellulite.

also, almond pulp is an extremely good exfoliant, and will remove dead skin cells on your body.

then massage in coconut oil or olive oil into the skin and it will make it smoother than smooth.

Raw Priestess-Your a source of ideas!
My gym has both a steam sauna and a dry sauna. I tend to like the
dry better. I've been wanting to sit in it for detox anyways, So I will ;)
Also I've been wanting to try a infra-red sauna...heard about them
from Shazzie's book. A nearby spa has one, but since I'm broke
I'll just have to use the one at my gym for the time being.
Off I go to drink lots of water! You know I bet that's one of the reasons
fasting helps with cellulite...flushing your body with liquids whether it's water or juice.
