It is, therefore, evident that it is possible to cure by foods, aliments and fruits; but as today the science of medicine is imperfect, this fact is not yet fully grasped. When the science of medicine reaches perfection, treatment will be given by foods, aliments, fragrant fruits and vegetables, and by various waters, hot and cold in temperature.

As another posted here, check "meetup.com" for your area. I met some lovely people. Plus, there are quite a few good restaurants in your area as well. You can google them and/or check local hfs's and see if they've got anything going on there ~ demos, book-signings, etc.

San Diego resources
Howdy Road2Health,
I'm new to the scene, just starting to transition and gather info. A couple of good resources in the San Deigo area are Ranchos Market on 30th near the corner of University. They have classes and a meetup group, and great raw chocolate in the bulk food bins. Also, check out Cilantroalive.com; the restaurant has four locations in various San Diego communitites. We also have the world famous Optimum Health Insitute in our back yard. You can visit their bookstore and take their open house tours on any Sunday afternoon at 4:00m (highly recommended).

Thank you
It gives me a direction to go in thank you again so much.

Hi there,
I am in San Diego too. The raw food meetup group meets usually the 3rd Saturday or Sunday every month at Ranchos on 30th st. There is also a meet up group in Encinitas. Cilantro Live is in Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, Carlsbad and will be opening a new place in Hillcrest soon. One of these days I'm gonna make it to one of those meetups. Maybe I'll see ya there.

HI,
I live in San Francisco, but I'm from San Diego and go home a lot. There is a new little restaurant in Leucadia that is raw. I have some sort of mental block and can never remember the name? But it is on the 101. I wanted to try is when I was down in March but it was closed for remodel for another week. I enjoyed cilantros...and I'm happy to know they are opening a 4th location in Hillcrest. Kung Food in Hillcrest has some raw food, but it is mostly cooked. I heard the meetups at Ranchos are great, but haven't been to one.
I always keep my eyes open for raw goings on down there...I want to move home at some point...and I like to stay raw when I visit. I'm also trying to convert my Mom. I would love to take her to Optimum Health...it's cheaper if you sleep at home.
Have fun with this! Being raw makes me miss the ocean and space of San Diego...even though it all has houses on it now.

The restaurant in Leucadia is called Neshama. It's right behind Mozy's on the 101. Amazing food

Yes, that's it. Glad to hear you liked it...now I really can't wait to try it!
