    Question Ohio

I was wondering if there was anyone else on here that is from Ohio. I am in the Northern part of the state. I was hoping that someone might have some suggestions on where I could pick up some raw / organic food. We have a Wild Oats, but that 's about it. Does anyone know of anything else?????

I just moved away from NE Ohio a couple of months ago! Are you referring to the Wild Oats on the east side of Cleveland?

I lived in Oberlin (40 min. west of Cleveland). There was a smallish health food store there, where they often had some organic produce, but not a huge selection.

As for raw bulk foods/staples, I'd suggest mail order! eatraw.com offers free shipping on larger orders, so it sometimes makes sense to stock up. rawganique.com has a few nice things (I just got their tahini), and $5 all you can order shipping. goldminenatural foods is also good for some things.

Where in Ohio do you live? How long have you been raw there?

Oh, and if you can't find tons of organic produce, don't give up! While organic produce is best, eating raw with conventional produce is probably better than the way you used to eat, right?

Good luck with everything! Have a wonderful day!

    Bethany,

Thanks for the info> I have been considering ordering some raw online, I appreciate the site tips. I live about 50 mi. east of Cleveland, so yes, that is the Wild Oats that I am refering to. I basicly just purchase produce from there and Trader Joes and a few staples. BUT I think I am going to buy my needs in bulk online from now on.

I am recently trying the raw food lifestyle. In fact I am just getting ready to commit to the 30 day challenge and start journaling on here. I am very excited about it.

Where did you move too? Did you get sick and tired of teh snow or was it the construction?????

    Thanks Again,
    RawJoJo :)
