Tell me more about those accommodation options? I've been browsing some of the Inns and motels in the area but I have no idea how close they are to the resort or what the transport available would be like..... I'd like to find out about accoms at or very close to the actual place - anybody?? :)

I'm with you. If I go, I will be flying in from New York and don't want to have to rent a car for another added expense. Here's the email I sent happy:

MY EMAIL: "I'm a little confused by the website though. Is the festival actually being held at the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort?

If I can attend, I will be flying to Arizona from New York and want to make this trip as affordable as possible, hence, if the festival is actually at that resort and I stay there, I wouldn't need to rent a car, is that right?"

HAPPY'S RESPONSE: "Yes, the festival is at the Radisson. True, if you book a room at the Rad, there's no need to go anywhere else. We also have booked an affordable campground at $20 per person per night if you bring a tent or $25 per person per night if you sleep in a log cabin bed."

now I'm assuming the log cabin beds are close to the festival, I don't know. If you go to the website and do the actual registration process up to a certain point, you will get to the page where it talks about accomindations and I think it goes into detail a little further about the cabins.. but I couldn't find a website or pictures or maps or anything.

if you find anything out please let me know as well. thanks!

Yes, Happy suggested the Raddison it's right there for the festival. IT's about $200 nite.

I'd imagine like she said, if you don't do the campsite /log cabine, those will be gone by amonth or so.........

When is everyone planning on registering???

I have been lurking here for quite a while and finally became registered a few days ago. So, this is my very first post!

I am definitely excited for this festival and plan to go! I just booked a room at the Radisson as I am sure they go really fast.

Does anyone know how far Flagstaff is from Sedona? That was the closest airport I could find -- unless someone else knows different.

hippiechick - Flagstaff to Sedona is about 45-50 minutes. (maybe a little less than that).

For anyone else who maybe interested, Phoenix (from Sky Harbor International Airport) to Sedona is about 1hr 45min to 2hrs.

MissLinda ~ I talked about the festival with my hubby this evening and unfortunately we will not be able to even attend 1 of the days. We're on the committee for this other conference on that same weekend and he said that after 2 days of assisting and helping setup this other conference in Glendale (an hour from where we live), he'll be waaay too tired to drive a long distance to Sedona on Sunday. Boo hoo! Oh well, that's okay. It's just not meant to be for us this year. I'll just get all the news from all of you when you return! :)

We could always go in on a room with a bunch of people. I'm not adverse to sleeping on a floor. I'm not even adverse to camping. It's the scorpions that kind of wig me out. :)

    Oki doki.

I'm working thru some events taking place that may blunder me from booking now but I'm planning on booking September if these "events" in my life do not require me to be in town here during that time.

Bryant, if your out there.................save me a seat!

    Who else is going????????

My 2 children and I will be there. I made our reservations a month ago. We're camping.

For those who were asking about the campground - it's a few minutes' drive to the event from the campground. The festival is hosting a shuttle service to and from the campground, however.

Camping outdoors in Sedona is heavenly and I consider it to be more valuable than the fancy hotel rooms.

    Hi!

Just found this site and wanted to say "See you all there". We (my husband and I, leaving the kids home with grandma, maybe they can come next year)will be driving from Idaho and camping out.

What kind of Idahoans would we be if we didn't camp out?

Just also wanted to add if you think you don't have enough money. We saw the ad for the festival, visualized us being there, felt the energy and then our tax refund came back for the exact amount we needed for tickets and the camping site. Thoughts are things, have energy and are real....use it to your advantage. :)
