I am a hotel person also. For those who are going to enjoy the wilderness - well they should have a good time because of all the other people - the critters will go on vacation! ha ha. I haven't heard of bears by Sedona but I was stalked by a mountain lion between Sedona and Flagstaff. In drought years they do stalk humans. I feel that the state of Arizona is extremely negligent all these years, encouraging people to come out here and enjoy our state without educating people what to do if they do encounter one of the big ones. Sorry, but I would rather be truthful with you than hear about an unfortunate encounter. I hope people will allow the wild ones their space.

The last thing we need is to hear that one of our fellow raw fooders here, got "licked" by a bear.............I mean, funny as it may seem, I agree with Luckitri.........I certainly have no wilderness and camping experience. I'm the last person you want "protecting " you in such circumstnaces.

not that anyone was holding their breath about it.... I just wanted to share that I won't be able to attend the festival. I'd LOVE to go but just can't afford it this year... (unless someone wants to buy my ticket!;) )...
I hope you all have a great time though and I can't wait to hear about it and see photos!!

It would be pretty cool to see some of you all from the RFT. I 'm totally into the camping thing, but since it's in another state and you have to mess with the airport and the car rental thing and stuff - I'm with misslinda on the hotel idea!

Sorry can't make it to the festival. Sounds cool, but a weekend sharing a tent with Path 301 brings up visions I'd rather not think about.
