    Default NorCal potluck coming up

    Hi guys,

There is a cool potluck coming up called "Table of Life". It's at someone's house in San Mateo. I've not been yet, but saw a write up about it in a small local newspaper and it sounded great. The guy that hosts it used to be a chef at a normal restaurant and is looking into opening a gourmet raw restaurant. I'm planning on checking it out this month. It's on Sunday, March 28th. Let me know if you're interested in joining me.

The best way to find out all the info is to go to meetup.com and search for table of life. That way you can read all about it and then rsvp and see who else is going. It would be even more fun to meet people from here while meeting other people too. :)

    Who should come?

Anyone interested in Raw Food and who like to party like healthy Rock Stars.

    Are newcomers welcome?

You betcha. And please be aware of what it means to be Raw.

    Why should people come?

If for no other reason then to see the "Table of Life" in person. It's only 14 ft long at this point. But with a little more room, like a Restaurant venue, it will grow to be 20ft long. It's very whimsical. Alice in Wonderland. It looks like it came out of a Tom Petty video.

    What will it be like?

It will be a lot of fun. We love throwing parties and we're pretty damn good at it.

    Should members bring anything?

Good Food. And make sure you put your heart & soul into it when you prepare it. KOMBUCHA-Boy will provide the Kombacha. I'll provide the Sake and Wine, so if you don't care for those bring your beverage of choice.

This is our third potluck and the first two rocked. We look forward to meeting all our new best friends.

    Peace, James and Clarina

Hi- I'm new to the bay area and living in south Berkeley. I'd love to come to this...a couple of questions: is it a kid-friendly event? And how much food should I bring?...I tried the link in the post above but it didn't work. Anyway, I'd love to meet some friends in the area and get some support as I've just started eating 100% raw and am learning a lot. Sounds like a fun party too!

    HI,

I'll repost the link or at least the contact info tomorrow. I haven't been yet, but I'd imagine a dish that is enough for 10-15 people? I think the organizers have 2 kids that attend so I bet they would be fine with it. But I'll let you know how to RSVP yourself and ask tomorrow.

What was the turn out the last two times? This would be a fantastic way to end the quarter! Interestingly, I just joined meetup.com today hoping to find a get together reasonably close by. Hopefully I can drag my boyfriend out! Thanks for bringing this up here.

I may just bring a friend with me and leave my husband at home with the kids so i can really enjoy myself! (although i would love my husband to come too...)

I'm a bit nervous about making something for so many people since I'm so new to this. I did make a really good soup last week but I'm afraid it may not turn out the same when I make it for the second time! This will be a good chance to test some new recipes this week to see what I want to bring...

In any case, I'm looking forward to meeting people and enjoying a good time together.

I have not been before. This will by my first as well, so I don't know about turnout. Judging from the rsvps on meetup.com, I think about 10 last time? Please go to meetup.com and rsvp so they know how many are coming! I too am nervous about making stuff for other people, but it will be fine, I'm sure.:)

Here is the meetup link to RSVP:

Also, here is an article that was written in a small paper about the last one:

Also, I am sorry but the date is the 25th, not the 28th. It's this Sunday.
