Default New Raw Foodie from Vancouver

Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm new to the site and am currently trying to convert to raw food. I work as a personal trainer and work out a lot, so I need to eat lots of calories to avoid loosing muscle mass; so this is going to be a rough raw ride for me. I don't have any raw friends yet so don't be scared to say hello ;)

    Default Lucky you, Adam!

For one thing, having found this wonderful site...

For another, that you will HAVE to eat lots of calories. You get to oink out more on yummy things like fruit or hi-fat avocados that others of us might have to go kinda easy on.

Have you looked at the sample pages of Alissa's book? I have a couple of other raw foods books, but I just ordered hers as the samples seem so much more detailed and specific than the other books I have which mostly are "Raw! Raw! Raw is great!" with not much help on what to eat for specific situations such as yours.

I know from only a few days' experience here that you'll find many warm, generous, helpful people who can not only answer such questions as how to get plenty of calories but will inspire you to get raw and stay that way. Once they get going, you'll be saying, "Silly Adam! Why did I ever think that eating raw would be tough going?"

Welcome to the site, Adam! May you get exactly what you need here.

Storm is 53 years old?????? No way! I'd have guessed that man is in his latter 20's to early 30's maybe.

Okay, that's pretty powerful testimony that eating vegan and then raw for most of one's life does good things for a body.

I didn't know Storm was 53 either. Wow! I am older than he is.
