    Thumbs up New recruit...started today...Ont.Canada

I am going to give it a try. Nothing to lose because I have basically tried every other possible diet known to man, and I keep putting the weight back on. This RAW FOOD plan makes sense. I have it in mind to drop 15 pounds and feel good from the inside out. I am a positive person, so if anyone is out there from Ontario Canada...we can keep each other motivated. I am a great Rah Rah person....or in this case RAW RAW???

Would be happy to hear from you. I won't be on this site daily, but I believe you can send a private email message to me? If you feel like sharing some insite, recipes, or humour, I'm receptive.

Good luck to all who have the determination to stick with this plan. I am cetainly going to try it for the 30 days. Haven't looked into the whole food prep part yet, but I notice many have the dehydater. Is that crucial to this plan?

awesome...good to have you here!!! no, a dehydrator is not a nessessety (spelling?) lol
i didn't have one till recently, and it doesn't even work haha...i dehydrate my cacao cookies in front of the heat vent lol :) it really depends on what you like to eat, too...if you're more into the fancy things or into keeping things simple...good luck on raw :)
    Peace & Aloha;)

Gald you are joining us - no, a dehydrator is not crucial - there is a lot you can do without.

    Thumbs up

Agreed. I'm considering getting one eventually as I really enjoy putting together complex foodstuffs, used to love cooking. Oh, wow! I just said "used to"! My mindset has altered after only a few weeks of mostly raw. Wowers! Okay, enough boring patting myself on the back there... :)

I'm at a little over 3 weeks of breakfast and lunch raw with dinner sometimes (if I'm even hungry enough for the SAD thing of 3 squares daily which I'm often not in the least), and I still don't eat raw meals with separate dishes. I just toss whatever seems good together, call it salad and chow down! Lots of times, I find that I'll eat some pumpkin seeds maybe and then want celery or dark green leafy things, and then...well, you get the picture. I joke that I'm a serial eater which could easily rub someone the wrong way where I live as they just caught BTK, the serial killer.

I'm feeling so great that I no longer want to hang out in the kitchen mixing up complicated stuff. I want to eat and get on with life, so I haven't even done any smoothies yet, although I have a pretty good blender and have made them in the past. I wasn't feeling so great last weekend, so breakfast one day was a pureed organic apple with the juice of half an organic lemon and a bit of filtered water to make it saucy enough. That's all I wanted and was the only time I've used something more complex than a knife since going raw-mostly.

So, as simple as you wish or as complicated. Whatever works for you as you experiment would be my suggestion.

I personally would be lost without my dehydrator but that is just me. I make mega amounts of different crackers, cookies, burgers, fruits and other things.
    Welcome here and enjoy

    Hi there...thanks for your welcome.
Keeping it simply right now...but feeling good about doing it.
Nice quiet Sunday...eating apples, raisins and cooked squash with brown sugar.
Probably not going to be able to be totally RAW, but anything is better right now than what I was doing.
    Bye for now,
    Bevrr

Hi DotfromOz...thanks for your reply and interesting email.
Keeping it simple for sure right now...
That way, maybe I can stick with this RAW thing.
I am not a person who consumes a lot of liquids, therefore the smoothie thing isn't for me...but who knows...maybe later.
    Bye for now,
    Bevrr
