    Default Juicing Cucumbers

I just read somewhere that you should remove the skin from cucumbers before juicing because of the wax that is sometimes put on them. I'm so dumb that I thought the waxy feeling was how they actually felt so I've been washing and wiping them good before juicing. I notice no funny taste from the wax but was wondering is the wax dangerous to drink and won't you lose alot of the vitamins by skinning them first?

Always buy organic if you are juicing and eating the skins.

I think the wax would coat the *teeth* on a Chapmion juicer making them less effective at masticating.

Cucumber wax is the worst. I HATE picking out cucumbers because I hate touching that wax. Yuck.

I have nothing else to add beyond that.

Try juicing English cucumbers - the skins have no wax on them. They are a bit pricier though...

I buy only organic and I always leave the skin on when I juice them.

    I love cucumber apple juice!
